This has a major catch.
All new phone contracts and those who choose to switch to this will have tethering limited to 2GB per month if you're on The One Plan.0 -
To be frank, it will be much more interesting to find out soon which extra countries they will be adding to Feel At Home0

If you have some internet allowance left over, and your contract permits use of VOIP, there can be alternatives.
http://www.sipgate.co.uk/ is one provider that will let you setup a SIP line that you can use to make calls with a free app to 0800 numbers without charge.
They are also considerably cheaper for 0845 at 3p/min than many providers.
I ended up swapping most of my 'landline' usage over to them when I realised that I was carrying my mobile around most of the time as a music player, even though it had no mobile service wifi worked just fine around the house and garden, meaning I diddn't need to replace the broken cordless phone with a horrible interface.0 -
Already a long informative thread here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/49240600

See the dozens of questions and answers (all asking the same question) at: http://blog.three.co.uk/
The main impact will be to those shortsighted customers who take out new contracts when their old phone is perceived to need "upgrading".0 -
I would rather they just made the inclusive call allowance include all calls including all 08 numbers, not just 01/02/03 that you get currently. That would be far more useful than free 0800 calls.0

With brilliant free apps like weq4u in existence the 08x PR is largely irrelevant anyway.0
