I submitted my final readings for the Electricity and they have come back to say i have used 90Kw less than the industry standard has calculated.

Its up to them whether they accept my reading or not and if not they are the losers of about £10 worth of energy.

My Mum joined up back in June and so far never received a bill and its currently showing £719 credit. However I work it out for her manually and she was disappointed to be told by me she is in fact £60 debit.

I'm not really in credit, in fact my balance is a big fat zero but it's still nice to see the earlier mistake in my "billing" section being perpetuated, perhaps ad infinitum.:)

..... and it gives me a reason to talk with those nice people at Extra Energy in my role of self appointed customer feedback consultant.:rotfl:

My patience is running out with this company! We're in the same position with mom's supply, still chasing her first bill even though she has been on supply for 9 months.

I emailed the blogresponse address last Tuesday, I have received no response. Earlier this week I emailed Customer Services, again, no response. Decided the best option was to call Customer Services.

Got through on the phone immediately, but that's where the success ends! The guy apologised for the fact that no bill had been produced - stating she should have had one after six months; he blamed this on a system error. He then went to check with 'Billing' when she would receive her first bill; he came back with 'she has been prioritised on the list'. When asked when she could then expect the bill he was a bit vague and said approximately a week. I won't hold my breath!

I then said that we had called many times to enquire about the first bill and EE were failing to meet their own T's & C's of supply which state bills will be issued every six months. Again he apologised and said he would email the manager from Billing.

I then explained that she is looking to move supplier due to poor customer service from EE and would not be prepared to pay the early termination fee due to EE's incompetence. He said he would raise this as a formal complaint and she should hear within a week.

To be honest I am sick of hearing 'We are a new supplier and we're having a few teething problems', the company should not have been allowed to trade until all systems were in place, tried and tested!

At least 4 friends moved their supply to EE last April, not one of whom has received a bill.

Credit where it's due though, EE are really good at collecting the direct debits and arbitrarily and unjustifiably increasing the same

Getting bored with this evenings telly I started to surf the web for anything I could find on Extra Energy and came up with this from a website that publishes reviews from people who have been interviewed for jobs (glassdoor.co.uk).

It may be just one review but it may shed some light on how they recruit people for their customer services teams.

    Sales Interview

I applied online. The process took a week – interviewed at Extra Energy.

    Interview Details

Useless interview process your previous skills dont matter its all about who they like and they think can handle the job

Like all call centre rolls the most important thing is being able to give excellent lip service and get the customer off the phone asap and that way the advisors AHT remains intact for a bonus and customer goes away thinking their issues will be dealt with. Job Done!
