As it's a freephone number and as I quite like Vivaldi and have hands-free, I'm currently on hold. We left EE on the 10th September and they have taken no more DDs but my on line interface is still active and I can see that I have "switched to their variable rate". What a shower! All I want is a bill and a (small) refund...

edit: Got through after 20 mins (but as I say, I like Vivaldi). They agree we left them on the 9th September and have the correct readings, so our on line account is only open whilst they calculate the final bill. Fine, will wait a further three weeks and if not received will call again.

Whilst my last post in this thread was relatively positive, things have I suppose predictably gone pear shaped :P

Last bill was recieved in July, and was correct as far as I can tell.
Meter readings have been entered every ~2 weeks since.
    No further bills.
No tariff is ending email (On the Fresh Fixed Price Oct 15 tariff)

I applied to switch away approximately a week ago, and they haven't bothered to take the September direct debit (Due 28th).
No idea whether this was caused by the impending switch or whether it's just vanished into the ether.

If they'd taken the DD, then they'd owe me ~£10 at switch, now I owe them £50 or so, so I'm not complaining. At the current rate of progress in this thread, I don't think I'll ever pay them :P

My account still shows Sep15 tariff, left 21 sep. My daughter's shows Nov16 tariff from this morning. She decided to stay as the billing has been pretty up to date and she is in debit and did not want a large bill to pay on leaving. Going to submit reading later this afternoon and will see what happens re a bill.

Just got through myself 25 mins.

Told them i'm likely to be leaving anyway.....but would like a realistic bill. They'll try and do one for me now or it may be 4-6 weeks.

    Seriously!!!!

They say 4-6 weeks but 4-6 months is much more likely.
  • Completely gutted that I chose to switch to them a few weeks ago. After reading people's poor experiences I decided today they were not for me.

Unfortunately the 14 day period has gone and they are due to be my new supplier in a few days time. It seems I will then have to request to switch back to British gas on the day they start supplying my electric, pay the £25 early exit fee and hope that British gas hurry up with the process of switching back to them.

I'm just glad I read all the reviews and comments now and not in a few months time

Sparkz, if you read your meters every month and submit readings and keep a record of your calculations so that you know exactly where you are and do not allow your account to be severely over or under paid and are prepared to fight your corner and write letters, it's not so bad for 12 months or so!

Their biggest problem is that they do not bill on time. It seems worse for dual fuel customers, we were single rate electric only and were billed up to date, the last bill came about a week after the meter read. If you take regular meter reads and work it out for yourself there should not really be any major problems.

I must say that I'm impressed with the speed of their billing in my case. Just a few seconds from entering the meter reading!

Haha :D. I think I will pass and be £25 out of pocket. The DD was fixed at £30 a month. No doubt my electric would never be £30 a month so beforehand I was expecting a refund every month. It seems I may as well go back to British gas instead of being £30 out of pocket each month and struggling to get it back.

The woman on the phone made me laugh.

According to her, they are moving to bigger offices soon to have more people taking calls and her final line was something along the lines of I may as well stay with them instead of paying more with another supplier.
