I'm supposed to be moving away from EE in a couple of days. This seems to have sent them into such a spin that they've forgotten to collect their DD this month!
• Joined them mid March this year on dual fuel fixed till March 2016 and I submit meter readings every month had my first bill September all looks good. Direct Debit not too far adrift from my expectations. My savings with EE Is in the region of £450-00p a year so happy with service up to now. I will add If I had read this forum before switching it might have put me off but I have nothing to complain about up to date.
• This company is an absolute joke. I have dual fuel but only ever get a gas bill, have rang and e mailed, I once got a reply after 4 weeks but my last 2 e mails have not been answered, one of them asking to be refered to their case handler for complaints.
they upped my direct debit from £96 to £110 and refuse to lower it, I am now nearly £700 in credit so have decided to stop my direct debit, guess they will be in touch like a flash.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.
• Hi,
Is anyone experiencing problems with getting responses to emails from this Company?
I have had a fixed rate with them for the last 12 months, which is due to expire at the end of this month. I am attempting to obtain a quote for a new tariff for the next 12 months.
Having had no response to my emails, I phoned their customer services number, and after a prolonged wait, was put through to an adviser. I was informed that an email had been sent out to me which I have never received. I have checked my spam and trash folders and it was not there either. I am told that the email would be sent out again, but guess what, I haven't received it.
During my contract with them I have received emails from them at regular intervals without any problems whatsoever, up until the last month.
Is anyone else experiencing similar problems please?

They do stop taking your DD's when you switch , which is something.

However a final bill may be along time coming;left them 4 months ago still no final bill. Not bothered as I'll be in debit and my DD is cancelled. They can hardly cut me off as I'm not a customer anymore ;) If they ever do provide an accurate actual bill, i'll pay it, but I'm certainly not going to chase it.

I predict they won't be in business much longer.

They are awful at replying to emails so don't hold your breath. I highly doubt they sent you an email.

I sent them 2 emails a week ago, 1 saying that I want my contract cancelled as soon as the switch was complete. The other saying, on second thoughts I will give them a chance.

I demanded that I want my payment method changed to pay on receipt of bill and requested the bill every 3 months. I said they have 5 days to reply, if not then i'm going back to British gas. I have had no reply from them and tomorrow is the 5th day.

I have to agree with Mr K.

They don't even deserve to be in business in the first place.

I just feel now that i'm going to struggle getting money back off them. My monthly DD is £32, but my actual energy usage is barely even half of that.

Well just had a meter reader call to read the gas meter on behalf of EE. I told the reader we left about 12 months ago and the final bill has been paid. She insisted they read the meter but I refused them entry.

I rang EE who advise it was on auto read and would cancel any further visits.

We shall see what happens...
• Haha. Beyond comprehension.
My meter was read in March. For all the good it did.

In my experience, if you contact them via their website you WILL get a reply. But it will be 3-4 months later and full of empty promises.

We received an email from them on 18 August explaining the options for a fixed rate tariff that was due to end at the end of September..

Note it came from yournewtariff@extraenergy.com not the normal EE email address - and I think was thus classified as spam..
