Too right, same here. Not to email people to confirm the order when they've taken money from you is bad enough, but still to offer no explanation when your order is changed to some other random unrelated product is absolutely not on. Imagine the fuss if this was bargaincrazy or savastore or whatever...

This was always going to be an own goal for Apple however it turned out, but to spend 2 days deliberating how best to handle the situation and then come up with this is pretty spectacular!

Edit: it gets worse - when you go to order details the amount charged is also changed to the cost of these label things, so it makes it appear that I accepted and paid for a totally different order. There's no record of what I actually ordered (glad I took screen grabs now...).

Order status now changed to 'Cancelled'

The way they have dealt with this is beyond belief , never seen anything like it.

One thing tho...I been charged 25 quid for a one pound product?!?! What could we do?!?! lol. I'm actually wanting to get these lot back just because of the really really bad customer service.

I was excited about my 1TB External HDD but when I saw what it had changed to (DYMO LABELWRITER LARGE ADDRESS LABEL-ZML) I was even more excited but noticed it was cancelled. I am now devestated.

I was going to put a "Large Address" label where my HDD was going to sit "In Memory of the misprice of my dreams RIP 2007" but now I can't even do that. Apple have a lot to answer for!!!

Exactly - whereas before I was happy to be philosophical when it didn't turn up, my thoughts are actually now turning to how I/we could make things as awkward or embarassing as possible for Apple. Probably nothing, admittedly, but this sort of ill-feeling which was completely unnecessary is why this misprice is a bigger own goal for them than it needed to be.

Dunno bout anyone else, but I still havent been told there is an error! Thats 3 whole business days! They are making changes, changing ordered items and totals by a long way, not even telling us and leaving it.

One bulk e-mail would have been so easy!

I phoned to enquire about the whereabouts of my order and why it had changed to a labelwriter and was told my order would be cancelled, I'd be refunded and I'd get an email with a full explanation.

My order's still showing as the hard drive. Although still not despatched. No emails or phone calls either. Very odd.

What do people plan to do about this? I really am not happy - not least of which, I was trying to work out why £26.24 had been taken out my account, when it was £25.24 yesterday. This label is down as costing £1... that explains the mismatch, so they have charged me for BOTH!

Looks like I order a DYMO LABELWRITER LARGE ADDRESS LABEL-ZML by mistake too!!!

I decided to get my girlfriend to look into this matter (she's a Law Graduate so has a little bit of knowledge on the legal side of things) and according to her as soon as Apple took the money out of our accounts they formed a legally binding contract. So if they back out they are in the eyes of the law in breach of this contract.

They are also breaking the contract by changing the item on the order form.

This apparently can over rule any T&C that Apple may have regarding mis-prices as that was an error on their fault due to the inability to proof read their prices before advertising them online.

Any thoughts?
