Do you think it would be worth phoning up?

No, it's best I think to keep quiet and not make a fuss.

Make a fuss when you have deffo got the ultimate 'sorry, we are out of stock and cannot source more' fob off.

Well, money has gone from my account but now when I go to 'order status' the order has gone so i suppose that's that. Worth a try, although I also thought that once they took the money they are accepting your offer and so forming a contract. You've done your part so they have to do theirs?

    My order has changed!!!

Apple are now charging me for a:

    DYMO LABELWRITER LARGE ADDRESS LABEL-ZML

    Instead of the hard drive!!

Has anyone else had their hard drive order swapped out for something trivial? It's one thing to cancel the order, but to swap out the order for something different seems very unprofessional.

My order is still there, and should be delivered tomorrow. :D
  • spoke to the apple rep again and he has said that to cancel our orders apple had to change the product to a cheaper "processable" item that would allow their automated system to cancell all of the orders icon_redface.gif

PMSL at them changing it! Thats illegal surely!! They really are messing this one up big time.

Mine is still exactly the same. Iomega Terrabyte hard drive.

They CANNOT charge for an item you did not buy, so don't worry about it. That would be completely and utterly wrong!

Yer right do they have to change the order.

Advice: Take print screens now if you still have the Iomega drive showing. Of both the delivery estimate and the order details.

I reckon they are doing something underhand here. I.e, 'no one ever ordered the drives' and getting away with something (tho not sure what)
