What absolute tosh from SLC, very disappointing, they're usually ok!

I received my deferment acceptance from SLC on the 9th March, for one Thesis and three Eurdio loans! This year they even managed to send it without me asking!

No idea what they're playing at, hopefully you had the misfortune to speak to someone who wasn't up to speed that day and if you call again you'll get someone who knows the score!

They are just trying to cheat you out of money.

Write a letter of complaint, followed by a complaint to the toothless FOS.

It's shameful that there is no proper regulator of these sharks in this country.

Same old Erudio - sent an email last week asking about where my deferment form was - no reply! Another FOS complaint will be coming as it is certainly less than 8 weeks to deferment..........!

Its probably about 5 weeks now if most deferrals are in the 1st week of May. If everyone sought to complain and receive compensation this practice would stop. It seems standard now that they are sending out the forms deliberately late. Considering they changed from Crapita to Crapquest between last and this year, what other conclusion is there? Did anyone get it on time this year?

It's never straightforward with them is it! I just received a letter from them warning me that as I haven't sent back my deferment I will have to pay back as of May. I haven't even received a deferment form to send back. I never had any trouble with the loan deferment till they took over but it seems they try to find a new way to try and make me pay it back every year!

Exactly the same here - have had two letters other than the deferment form - the last one saying I hadn't completed my deferment form when I haven't received one just made me more determined. Isn't it funny how Royal Mail has lost all the deferment forms and none of the other letters??!?!?!?

It may seem never ending but please do tweet/mail/contact simon read, paul lewis and martin lewis and anyone else showing an interest. The more people who tell them their stories, the more chance of getting some attention on this.

I have just joined MSE because I am so angry with Erudio's antics. The deferment period for my loan is due to expire in just under 5 weeks, but I have yet to receive a DAF from Erudio- I see this has happened to several others, which makes it look like a deliberate tactic. I received a letter early this week informing me that I will have to start making repayments in May because they 'have not yet received my form.' I immediately phoned them, and was informed that an application form had been sent out on 23rd March (the day before the date of the letter)- I don't believe they sent one out, but even if they did, it would have been sent out significantly under the 8 weeks they are required to allow for the form to be returned before the current deferment period expires. I was then informed that they would send out another DAF, but this has not yet arrived. What has arrived, however, is another letter dated the day of the phone call (March 30th) informing me again that I haven't returned the form and would have to start making repayments in May. It seems that Erudio are up to dirty tricks, deliberately not sending people the deferment application forms, with the intention of railroading people into making payments when their current deferment periods end. I cannot afford to make repayments, so will then be in arrears. Although FOS says that anyone with a complaint is expected to complain to the organisation concerned first, then wait 8 weeks for that organisation to reply before complaining to FOS, surely we need to complain to FOS now, otherwise our deferment periods will expire before this situation has been resolved?!
