ERUDIO student loans help

A year on from a battle to get defferment I'm getting a strong sense of deja vu!
Quick recap, I'm self employed and have been for many years. Under SLC it was easy, just sent a copy of my tax calculation (SA302) and they accepted my income as total revenues less allowable losses. Of course Erudio wouldn't accept that and I ended up going to the ombudsman before Erudio would finally accept it and I also got compensation from them.
Fast forward to this year and I recieved the new defferment form. Sent it back with SA302 from HMRC. Few weeks later I recieved a letter saying I had not provided any evidence and needed to send my SA302. Sent the SA302 again, along with the relevant information from HMRC indicating it was the correct evidence - when you print the SA302 online it doesn't print the form number.
Now I've recieved another letter. This one says again they have not recieved sufficient evidence but now specifies they want one of:
Wage slips (don't have these as self employed)
Employment contract (don't have this as self employed)
P11 form from temping agency (don't have this as I have never used a temping agency).
I don't really believe anyone can be this incompetent so I can only assume they are hoping to trick people into paying when they are entitled to deferrment.
Feel another complaint to the ombudsman might be needed.
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
My complaint to the FOS was abandoned as Erudio replied a day or 2 after the 8 week deadline. I think I'm going to have to resurrect it. Printing off all the documentation to go with it is going to be a nightmare though.0

The extra terms and conditions that they swear blind are not being imposed on top of the original loan ones?
:rotfl:
The 'unable' is also a straight lie. They don't want to. They are not 'unable'.
Can you remember where the quote about them not imposing new T&Cs is from? I can't find it.0 -
@ Lungboy FOS are happy to receive their complaint form and all supporting evidence by email. You can sign and scan the last page of the complaint form and they'll accept it.
There's a bit about the t&c's not changing on Erudio's website, under 'Applying for deferment' FAQs:Why do I need to sign the deferment form?
We require all customers to complete and sign a Deferment Application Form (DAF) in order to ensure consistency and treat all customers equally and fairly. This is in line with the Student Loans Company (SLC) terms and conditions which required all DAFs to be signed and therefore our policy remains in line with that of the SLC. A signature is required to verify the information provided and is not intended to provide any additional consent above the original terms and conditions.
It might be mentioned elsewhere too, I'll have a look.
Edit: It also states on their deferment page of the website:If you have received the older version of the form and have not yet submitted your application, we will accept your application without the Direct Debit Mandate completed. Equally, we will be happy to accept older version forms with the following wording crossed out: "ACCORDINGLY THEREFORE BY SUBMITTING THIS APPLICATION YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU CONSENT FOR ERUDIO TO PERFORM RELEVANT CHECKS AT CREDIT REFERENCE AND FRAUD PREVENTION AGENCIES."

SLC had no right to impose or require terms and conditions beyond the ones of the original loan. Neither do Erudio. Its a con job to make you think the form is legit.Still rolling rolling rolling......

I've complained to the FCA now. I'll sort my FOS one later today or tomorrow.0

For the info that is genuinely "commercially sensitive", you could easily argue that the public interest in releasing that info outweighs withholding it, e.g. to demonstrate to the taxpayer that BIS achieved value for money over the financial arrangements, subsidies, etc. The next sale of student loans will be completely different, so how much of the info is likely to be commercially sensitive anyway?
If it looks like they're hiding something, I'm ok with taking the complaint to the next stage.

That is some of the best news about this for a long time. fantastic work Anna. The value of persistence when facing a seemingly impenetrable wall. Should be plenty of good nuggets regardless. Cant wait to see it.0

My student loan seems to be with Honours Student Loans, are these the same as Erudio ? Its from 1996,7 and 8.
I also received a letter from them, as a statement from 2013/2014 ?! Should it not have being 2014/2015 ?0 -
