  • You'd think Erudio would have the names of everyone knocking on 50 flagged up to them automatically and they would try and make an offer....the fact they are not doing this is strange....(It wouldn't surprise me, most likely Erudio probably have a clause in their "purchase" whereby this private DCA will be compensated in full by the public purse to the full amount of any debt written off...that the taxpayer knows nothing about.....All part of austerity...transferring as much public money into private hands as possible??!!!)

I've had a reply from Erudio to my modified page 6 deferment. Apparently I didn't sign or date the form, which is utter rubbish.
  • Does anyone else suspect Erudio have been selling our details on?

I NEVER list my mobile number on anything but Erudio have it as I've had the same number for yonks. I never used to get cold called but these last 6 months the calls have been slowly getting more frequent and I now get one or two every day!

Most frustrating. The calls can be about pensions/PPI/accidents and are usually automated.

I am registered with the TPS so it shouldn't be happening as much as it is lately.

Think that is the standard reply to anything they don't like - at the start of all this faff all they sent me was the final page of the form, where you put your total income figure & you sign & date it, so I filled in that figure (well under threshold) with a letter explaining where my income came from, signed & dated the form & sent it back. I then got a photocopy of the page I'd signed & dated back, along with a letter saying I hadn't signed & dated the form....

I think they just make it up as they go along now :rotfl:
And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...

Yes I think I have noticed an increase in PPI calls since I started dealing with Erudio, but I couldn't swear to it as I didn't note when the calls first started coming. Had the same number for ever though, so it is a little odd, but friends who haven't had any student loans have also complained about more PPI calls so maybe its just a coincidence?

Erudio rang me once on my mobile, told them it was a wrong number. I never gave my mobile to SLC or anyone.

I wonder about this as well. Maybe we will have a small chance of finding this out in the not too distant future...

  • Thanks - am I the only one who is still a little confused though :D

I can't see a section for those of us who were never in arrears with the SCL. The only time I've ever been in arrears & received a NOSIA was Oct 14 as Erudio were unable to send me the application form to be able to apply for deferment from July 2014 when my last period of deferment ended, for several months. Those arrears have now been wiped as it was their fault my account ever went into arrears.

Regarding any historical arrears under the SLC - I didn't receive anything from them to say I was in arrears (since I wasn't) & didn't receive anything from Erudio about historical arrears either, no NOSIA for March 2014 onwards, no CCA remediation pack, nothing.

Can someone explain why Erudio have messed about with my interest charged from Mar 2014 when I was never in arrears - have they done this to every single customer? I don't see why they needed to do anything to my account except continue to add interest.

My list of transactions show no interest was added in Mar, Apr, May, Jun or Jul 14, then almost 3 x the usual monthly charge was added in Aug 14 (last figure I have about my loan balance). What do others see on their statements?
And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...

Any suggestions about how to deal with this? Break the cardinal rule and ring them to get them to check?
