http://www.erudiostudentloans.co.uk/faqs/default.htmI’ve heard Erudio is being struck-off by Companies House – is this true?
No, absolutely not. Erudio filed its accounts with Companies House on 23/12/14. Due to a Christmas backlog these accounts were not recorded by Companies House until 9/1/15 although acknowledged on the 23/12/14 (the electronic copy of Erudio’s accounts available from Companies House clearly show a Companies House date received stamp on the front cover reflecting this). Companies House has confirmed this is correct and that there will be no action and has issued confirmation of this.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The info in this thread has been super helpful, thanks to everyone, and special thanks to Anna2007.
Am about to defer, I'm self employed, and I've decided to fill in the form, with annotations and crossings-out, but am still undecided as to whether I should set up the direct debit mandate. My old mandate with the SLC, from waaaay back is probably either long-dormant, or with a bank I am no longer with. So in theory, I should give new instructions.
My earnings are way below the threshold, and and I am in receipt of NO benefits, so it should be a cut and dried case.
If it weren't for all the money taken 'in error' (!) by Erudio, I wouldn't think twice about giving them bank account details.
So I'm wondering if anyone else here has successfully deferred and NOT given a DD mandate? Apart from Anna2007?
Many thanks to everyone!
You may have seen from earlier threads that their favourite trick with the self employed is to try and claim that turnover = gross income.0 -
Haha, the fact they've had to post a denial on their website, under FAQs, only goes to show what a joke of an outfit they are!
I also found it rather amusing they can act so quick on a issue that damages/threatens their reputation but it takes months for them to answer some of the other questions, whilst ignoring most of the really important ones.0 -

This one will surely capture a good number of our complaints. Let's keep an eye on the link.0 -
@crapola
Really? You really believe it will show the complaints?
I don't, for one minute, believe it will. These Teflon-coated buffoons seem to be able to come up smelling of roses, no matter how much manure they slip and skid around in!
They ALWAYS have a way of masking their ineptitude!0 -
