Hi, I have been reading 1000's of posts on this and getting confused.
I have two weeks till my deferment is up.
What is the latest best way to fill out the form (blank out parts etc)?
I am disabled so should be able to defer no problem ... just scared of signing and changing the original t&c's.
Thanks for your time.0 -

Jesus wept! Stuff like this and the amount of people posting about LOST paperwork. Makes you wonder how secure OUR sensitive financial data is with these clowns. Anyone near their head office, go see if there is a skip full of paperwork outside?!?! :-)0 -
@ Student1983 Erudio changed its name back in November from the not-very-original 'Honours Trustee 2 Ltd'. Wonder why they bothered, it's not like it disguised the connections to the original shell company?

Woops ........ apologies if I have butted in off topic ... this was the only up to date thread about erudio I could find. If there is a better thread that I've missed please let me know.
Head is spinning after reading about many variations of form filling and writing seperate letters etc. but most are from many months ago.
No idea what would be best for me to do, did anybody successfully defer with a separate letter?0 -
This is a copy from an earlier post:
Might be an idea to write to Erudio as soon as you can, to tell them you don't accept their final response and you're taking it to the FOS. But also tell them that because the account is still in dispute, they must cease all collection activity immediately - the guidance I read states that they must do this until a dispute is resolved:
Financial Conduct Authority - See 7.5.3 & 7.14.1 here:
fshandbook.info/FS/html/FCA/CONC/7
Credit Services Association - page 11/26
www.csa-uk.com/media/editor/file/Code_of_practice_final%20110414.pdf
You can fit your response around e.g. the FCA rules - "You have not provided clear justification or evidence as to why my claim is not valid" and/or "Despite your final response, I believe that the grounds for my complaint are still valid"
This is the blurb I put in my complaint letter, if it helps:
In accordance with the requirements of the the Financial Conduct Authority and the Credit Services Association, Erudio will cease all collection activity (including, but not limited to, demands for repayment) on the loan accounts whilst Erudio (or the Financial Ombudsman Service if necessary) investigates my complaint"
I'm sure Gardenia posted that FOS weren't able to instruct Erudio to cease collection activity once the complaint's with them.
One option to keep collection activity on hold might be to make a fresh complaint to Erudio (would have to be different grounds, but shouldn't be too difficult considering how much they get wrong!), which should stall things for up to another 8 weeks?0 -

Have a look at Pluthero's post #2121, page 107, which sums things up well. It's basically a choice between applying by letter, then fighting a long fight (don't know of anyone yet who's been deferred without completing the form), or amending/deleting parts of form (look out for FPN and statement re DD requirement).
When I get a chance later, I'll have a look through earlier posts for anything that might help you out. You could also try using the 'search this thread' button (just under page numbers), to save having to trawl through everything - it's a long, long thread!0 -
Judging by the way they deal with paperwork, I wouldn't be surprised if they simply ignored the fact that people have been blacking out parts of the form.0
