I'm sure that the very moment the sale was concluded, Erudio had its DCA army hounding defaulters, they won't be hanging about as that's what they do, and I've no doubt they'll get a good proportion of them to pay back.

So why aren't these forums full of ex students who've defaulted and are now being chased/harassed by Erudio? Nearly everyone posting so far has been in deferment.

A great many of the defaulters will be statute barred by now, many more will have emigrated/returned to their home country and be untouchable.

Perhaps because anyone who has defaulted on their loan obligations is highly unlikely to complain about it on a public forum!

I'm sure this will have been factored into the price Erudio paid for the loans.

Besides, aren't Arrow Global, um, global?!

I would also be interested in what might be different too. I just assumed that as he said they won't contact him for three years that maybe it is a disability discrimination issue as some health related deferrals are for three years??? Maybe they are worried about a discrimination claim?
Edwood Woodwood said Erudio replied stating deferment had been granted... that could have been during a phone conversation (sorry if it was mentioned elsewhere that it was in writing and I've missed it)? Which is no different from what many have been told over the phone.

Actually on consumer action group forums some people are posting, seems like Erudio are lying about non-exsistent CCJs etc to people.

Arrow Global? just because a company has global in it's name doesn't make them global.
Besides, it doesn't matter if they have offices abroad as how can they enforce cvil debt in a foreign country, it just isn't going to happen for the amounts we are talking about.
  • DEFERRAL GRANTED!

Get in. Good luck to all still wrangling with these jokers.
DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06
  • FYI, I sent the form in, crossing out everything I didn't agree with, which was pretty much everything apart from my name and signature.

I also enclosed the excellent template letter that has been kicking about this thread - many thanks to the original author.

Ive sent a complaint off to the FOS this week due to having a hoohar with "DAN" at erudio trying to explain that my child maintainance wasnt my income but solely for the use of my children . They have also calculated my income incorrectly and added instead of subtracting my child care vouchers off my gross income therefore increasing my pay by 243 a month. My manager is fuming and backing me up. ( Thank god for working in payroll) If Erudio cant even caluclate my pay correctly , calculate my benefits correctly or record my child maintainance amount correctly frankly they wont be getting a penny off me until its all sorted out. By the time it is sorted out my pay will have been reduced as im being redeployed and ill be asking for deferment again as of next week.

Im fuming with all this they still want a payment off me in 10 days time and as i will not have been paid ( and they refuse to change the DD date ) The late payment will take me into arrears.

Ive never known a loan company which has stated sorry we cant change you DD date as you wont have the money , go into arrears instead.

    SIGH.....
ONE HOUSE , DS+ DD Missymoo Living a day at a time and getting through this mess you have created.
One day life will have no choice but to be nice to me :rotfl:

More global than the SLC anyway, they cover Europe and USA, possibly more.

Are you saying they can't chase foreign students who have returned home and defaulted on their loans? Mr Willetts seemed to think they could... maybe that's why he's gone!

Simple: call your bank and cancel the DD.

@ dizzybuff You can ask the FOS to contact Erudio on your behalf, they can get all collection activity put on hold until your complaint's fully investigated. FOS have done this for others even before an official complaint's been made. If you explain your financial situation, they should be willing to help you out?
