Don't get started michaels. I am never going to get over you telling NP that you had checked the use by by date on the condom pack whilst in the throes of passion with DW.PasturesNew wrote: ».... dunno ... never had sex with a pigeon.
It's between the two of you for 'best response'
Spirit - I was thinking along the same lines.
PN - I think you've just edged it. Congratulations :beer:0 -

So much to see, so much to do, busy, busy, busy.
Please thank Kiwi for such an interesting virtual tour of the garden and for telling us all his news. I will pass it on to Ben who may not be interested in the mice but would be fascinated by the meat scrap and the pizza plate.
The thing I find quite sweet is that dog dog, never interested in rodents before, is trying to take an interest. Whether its not to be outdone, out of camaraderie, or just what her vet calls her "Swiss army knife dog'' personality and insatiable curiosity isn't clear but she's hopelessly ill suited to the task. She can slither behind things but cannot scoot under anything. And she doesn't have kiwis dogged determination to stand and stare at a spot for ages.0 -
Had email from lettings - and there's a whole raft of new/sneaky charges agents can find to bill you.
e.g. if you don't cancel your standing order to pay the rent and it gets paid [a] they charge you a £30 admin fee they aren't responsible for getting the rent back.
Check out's got some bits/bobs that could catch one out too ... there's a £75 check out fee anyway - if there's work to be done etc, they charge you up to £50 just to get quotes.
Oh ... and the cheap/dated/1980s curtains will need to be professionally cleaned.0 -

That type of shennanigans (your whole post) is why I tried (and managed) not to ever sign a rental contract with a letting agency (always went direct with a landlord/ lodged etc).
Had the curtains been professionally cleaned before you moved in? Is all of that stuff in your contract?
At least you'll be free of that kind of stuff in your new gaff!0 -
Congratulations, PN! :jEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Bet half of what they quote for is unenforceable. And its not like you need a reference.
Deposit should be protected, so you can use their dispute service if they start messing you around.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Opticians fail.
The kids never complained that they couldn't see stuff, so I never got their eyes tested til one of them asked why their friends had eye tests - even the ones that didn't where glasses. I sort of assumed that between health checks at the doctors/ school eye tests/ no complaints of head aches or not being able to see it just didn't happen.
So eventually they had eye tests. Their vision was fine but they are both colour blind. Who would have thought? Specially as DS2 had won art prizes.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
