    I've been Money Tipped!
Sorry, shouldn't have been teaching my Granny to suck (paint) eggs!

Best of luck, hope you get loads done today.

That's ok, both are good suggestions.

Today the spray thing has behaved better and we did the remaining panels already. Three are a slightly paler colour as we got the mix wrong.

We used two tins of wood stain though and have no more so not going out for more today.

Come in for gazpacho and drink/pills and to see what's next in the list.
Its never ending. I'm glad we're always busy but.....sometimes its daunting.

ETA: Ah, do you mean that you make the tomatoes/beans too hot and then burn your mouth? I almost always burn my mouth on baked beans or grilled, whole tomatoes.

They seem to retain their heat after all the other ingredients have settled to a reasonable temperature. What I call cooking most other people call overcooking anyway.

The Strayan in you really does come out now and again.:rotfl:

I've had a lot of contact with the place recently. When that happens, it comes out:o. My uncle in QLD unwell at the moment and probably has a matter of months to a year remaining. It's a strange decision not to go, but it's too far and won't achieve anything. It's worse for mum (his sister) as she's too ill to travel. It's just sinking in I think that she won't see him again:(.

    Greetings from the garden!

I've been told I'm pessimistic more often that I'd like. I'm not really pessimistic, I'd describe myself as realistic. I believe in planning for the worst whilst hoping for the best. I'm just much less likely to be open about my hopes.

Anyhow, next time someone tells me I'm pessimistic, I'm going to show them this picture:

If that isn't optimistic, I don't know what is!

Thought I'd also share a pic of my infamous hanging baskets. They were starting to wilt yesterday as I'd neglected them for a couple of days (and it has been pretty scorchio around here). Not the most carefully manicured things, but they make me smile :)

And finally (for now)... I'm trying not to get over-excited, but it's difficult:

That's very sad. I shouldn't have made light of it.

I hope the last months go well for him.

I hope you like courgettes a lot. You'll get millions of them off a plant like that.

I once grew 4 plants and was taking a carrier bag stuffed full of them into work every day for my colleagues.

Sorry to hear this. Is facetiming/ skyping an option?

Loving your garden Nikki, looks very homely.

Slightly concerned about the size of that enormous bee in the second picture.

I hate negative people that are passive aggressive when they call us realists negative :) It's THEM being negative if they are seeing negativity in what we're saying, when we're actually being realistic/practical and have thought things through and prepared contingencies :)
