DH more right wing than anyone else in his family. Not hard though. His parents put 'the Widow' in socialism IMO though they would deny it.

Am of steel is a very long film. It seems. Like we put the DVD on ages ago. I'm desperate for bed now.

I started watching the hunger games on 4+1. Not quite as good as the book but pretty good all the same. My eyes are just starting to try to close...

The BBC had a piece which I can't find last week about how kids were now more right wing than their parents putting a lie to the quote about beign a socialist when young unless without a heart and a Tory when older unless no money. I'm sure when I was younger we spent more time rebelling, being anti-social and anti-establsihment. Nowadays being anti-establishment as a youth seems more like a fashion choice than being about convictions.

Then again we also have those choosing to take up arms in Syria, villified by the establishment but I suspect more like the 'international brigades' of the Spanish civil war (which were no doubt seen at the time as a huge threat to the status quo in Blighty) than a real threat to British democracy.

Edit: This is the piece - no luck finding it on the BBC search but first hit on google http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-27865991
There are no opposition parties any more. We just get to pick which Eton and Oxbridge graduate gets to pretend to run the country in a way that will impress his American pals.

Haven't seen that and thought I might want to. Not so sure now. :D

That's a movie I wanted to see. No idea it was on. Seem to have lost track to find out what's on in the week's TV. Haven't bought a Radio or TV Times in decades.

Ikea tables have detachable legs because they are flat pack. The thing with wood ones though is you probably wouldn't want to screw/unscrew them many times as they will go wobbly. Screwing a metal table leg in on the other hand, that can be done many times.

So have a look at the underside when you are in store. If you are screwing into metal fittings in a wooden table, you'll be able to take it apart more times than if you screw directly into the wood.

They do the ones with detachable legs, but they're pricier. That's the trouble with "cheap", it doesn't do what you want :)

Yes, I'd already added it to my list for legs/price ... but certainly not for looks. I've got it on the list for "have a look/feel, see if it's lightweight/tacky/plastic/nasty or is passable"

I'd also need to see the size. Measurements are in cm, so I'd have to convert that to inches, then draw it out on the floor to get an understanding how how big/small it is in reality.

Well the side effects are ramping up now. My mouth is bone dry and has a metallic taste in it, nothing stops my ear from hurting and my hair has fallen out of the back of my head.

Despite that I am still reasonably chipper.

Sorry the treatment is so brutal.

You can get dry mouth gel. There are lots of products, and this is an example. http://www.biotene.com/products/gel

Hair falling out? Welcome to the club, mate! At least yours will grow back. :)
