I can't believe I just tried. I can get my toes.

Ages ago I used to do a 'yogalates' class a couple of times a week. Once one of the older gentlemen who also attended the class commented on how flexible I was. I'm sure it was meant as an innocent compliment but

Put clean socks on... lick socks.
    Solved.

Or cover them in kitchen towel....

You just have to know if you "could have" if you'd stretched/tried, rather than actually doing it; I accidentally went a bit far when I just licked my foot.

So that means this wasn't you lot at the last NP meetup?;)

However, they'd advanced by leaps and bounds in the last couple of decades and dental anaesthesia is at a stage where I'm totally at ease with going to the dentist.

You were very brave to go.:T

I'm not sure what caused my dislike of the dentists. I've only had one, relatively minor, bad experience with them. Honestly, I think it's because I couldn't afford them as a student for four years and then by the time I could afford them I was too ashamed of my teeth to go.

Seems a pretty silly reason not to go, except that the teeth just kept on getting worse and then...

Hm... the dental visit on Friday is getting closer and closer.

Got to admit the fear is kicking in now quite a lot. Since I've not been since I was a child (20 years ago ish, I can't even remember when the last visit was) it's definitely not my favorite place to go.

    Not really concentrating today.

Agree with zag that dentistry has come on a long way in 20 years. It won't be like it was back then. :)

Did you finish the reports, or the chocolate fingers?;)

I finished the Y10 reports. There are still chocolate fingers waiting for when I do the Y9 reports.
So, I received a call from the EA to negotiate dates.... a date earlier than I'd have liked. Sitting on it overnight, but I have two choices probably:

    - Say yes and roll over
    - Hold my ground and hold out for my preferred dates.

No particular reason for my dates to be preferred except I'll have paid a month's rent so wanted to maximise that, while having a generous overlap.

My preferred overlap was 6-9 days; seller's preferred dates would make this 15 days overlap.

There's no wrong/right way to go I guess.... I guess I'll just roll over and go for that earlier date. First week of next month.... don't want to be too specific.

It's "just me" ... and I feel small and scared ... and just want to curl up and cry.... and wake up to find it's all in the past and I've moved in and got everything sorted...

PN, go with their dates. Those extra overlap days will give you a bit of extra leeway. You could even stay in the rented place for a couple of days after completion, get your curtain poles and keys and things sorted out, and then still have plenty of time to move once everything in the new house is ready, with days spare to clear out the rented place and hand the keys back. The extra overlap really does make the actual move less stressful.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    I just tried.

Its a long time since I did yoga or anything, but thankfully :huh:I can still do this.

Just tried and, as expected, need a longer tongue for each foot - though I did get closer with one foot than the other ... hope that none of the passers-by looked into my window at that particular time or they'll have been very puzzled ;):rotfl:

Not sure whether you like dodgy hugs, but I'll send one your way just in case :grouphug:

It is scary. I was lucky enough to have my mum come to stay with me for the crucial run up to completion / move, and had times when I was shaking and crying with the stress of waiting for it to happen, so I can empathise with you doing it alone.

All I can say is that what you're feeling is perfectly understandable and commonplace, and perhaps the sooner the better for completion so that you're not waiting as long?

Sending reassuring vibes down the country ... :)

I just think none of you are trying hard enough. :)

Seriously, if I can do it pretty much anyone should be able to.

Regardless of who can and as yet cannot, I'm finding it really funny that NP up and down the country are trying :rotfl:

Perhaps this is the start of a new phase on the NPT after all those 'What cartoon character/ ice cream/ city/ period of history are you? quizzes...

PN, you can negotiate over the completion date. You don't need either to roll over or to bargain really hard over this. For example, you can point out that you are paying rent at so much a week, and completing early means losing a week's rent. You can ask them to meet you halfway by leaving the curtain poles up. That sort of good natured discussion is perfectly normal.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I can manage my left foot but right was really hard and a couple of inches too far away.

I am also trying to work out what I will say if I can't go to work tomorrow due to a pulled thigh muscle.
