Cancer Research uk have a bit on diet and radiotherapy, basically to drink lots and eat lots of protein.

Yeah, it's all fine. I had a throat infection which made things seem much worse than they really were.
Everything is progressing as expected. 5 days left.
Great news Gen, the light is at the end of the tunnel. I hope you feel better over the next few days as you get over the throat infection. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've got to admit that although it specifically says it's not a cult, it does sound a bit like a cult...
There's no membership option. It's a very simple explanation for something we make incredibly complicated for ourselves. He's just an interesting bloke with a story that contains a message to share. It's similar to the Chimp Paradox - having read that, I started to understand what he might be on about. My mental health is improving because I'm listening to me more, not the nagging voice that talks to me in a way that I'd never dream of talking to anyone else. It's a relief.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I've been mostly following that, albeit by accident.
I've been getting really thirsty at night: the other night I got through a 1.5l (?) jug of water!
We've also been eating a lot of meat. We had a minor win on the meat raffle (suburban Sydney is like living in the 1950s sometimes) and I also resurrected a favourite old meal the other day: pot roast pork neck with apples, carrots and leeks in sage and cider. Nom!0 -

Good to hear Gen.
On the scale of possible outcomes from such a health scare, being a bit tired is probably a really positive thing.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The membership thing is the crucial point. Cults always want you to join. From the website of this lot, they look harmless to me because they just want people to go to an event or buy some resources or something and then go away and carry on with life. I also like that they don't have exaggerated claims about revolutionising everyone's life, but specify that they're helpful for those who tend to think they're not good enough. I can quite easily believe Doozergirl that they've made a big difference to her. Thinking I'm not good enough isn't where my problem lies, though. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

It's not a bad outcome when I think about what could have happened:)
I met a bloke today who had cancer of the oesophagus. He's going to be ok but he looked really uncomfortable.0 -

I think job adverts show this up most .... when you think you're good at something/can do something, then see a real advert that's wanting much higher/complex stuff .... not that one couldn't do that, but if you've not had access/exposure to it then you're somebody with a big fat 0.
I disagree. The things you casually drop into the conversation on here about things you have organised and achieved in previous jobs amply demonstrate that you have plenty of employable skills. The fact that you do not have a job using them at present is down to your difficulties in identifying the jobs you would have a decent chance of getting, believing that they are worth applying for, marketing yourself in applications and especially at interview, and dealing with the politics and working relationships when you get there, all of which are crucial for a career, and particularly difficult for you because of being speshul. But you are seriously not lacking in skills.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? So, based on LIR's instructions that Doglet might be bored, I bought her a rubber bone from Amazon. It came with a user's guide, so I showed that to Doglet, but I don't think she paid it any attention. She paid even less attention to the rubber bone. Fortunately, it had little spaces for dog treats, so I inserted a couple of those. Now, Doglet is both interested and frustrated by it, as she can't get to the treats without holding the bone between her paws, but she can't do that and gnaw it because of the buster.
Ears are definitely back, btw.
Also, I took the buster off so she could have her brekky, and I noticed that brekky was taking an awfully long time. In fact, she was surreptitiously licking at her sore paw. So, the buster went back on toot sweet. However, it just reinforces my feeling that Doglet has something physically wrong there.
Yesterday, for the evening walk, Doglet was way out in front for the first half mile and then struggling more and more to keep up for the rest of the walk. Now, I'm not super fit or anything, so that's not right. Maybe, she's just plain old. About ten to twelve years, but I thought that's no age for a small dog.
Edit. According to the dog age calculator, she's about the same age as me. I'm overweight and not very fit, so she really ought to be able to keep up easily. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
