... why you can happily eat more than one mousse when a single yoghurt 'fills the same void'
It's 100% to do with pure greed. If I buy a pack of 6, I can stop after 2 .... that's for the first two usually. After that I can stop after 1.

Just had a quick look of MeetUp to see if any groups do anything interesting in my area.....

As a rule of thumb, in most areas nobody's doing anything/there are no groups.

What I found was: two groups for lesbians, one group for American ex-pats and a group who are very specific that their age group is 20-40 and "other groups on MU will cater for other age groups" ( = s0d off).

Might have to start my own carvery scoffing group :)

Small LOL of the day: http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/11279576.Firefighters_free_child_s_head_from_chair_at_Maenporth/

No need to click, all it says is:
Firefighters were called to Stable Cottages at Maenporth on Saturday evening after a child became stuck in a chair.

Five firefighters from Falmouth attended just after 7.30pm after a call saying the young child had their head stuck in a chair.

Firefighters used small tools to release the child.

    Glad I've snuck on here.

Lir - sending you lots of love. No explanations needed. Take care of yourself and do whatever you need to do. Just know that you are very much cared for on here as no doubt in the real world.

Feeling vindicated. Rest of family put a ridiculous amount of effort into washing chickens before cooking, involving copious amounts of boiling water, scraping knives and rubber gloves.

Now we have government advice just to cook it well.

There is only so much 'toxicity' we can out run IMO anyway. My 'neighbours' are upset we planted yews because they are poisonous. ( I didn't point out the laburnum we inherited and that drooped over a yard they used to use is also poisonous nor that yew as well as being toxic can treat cancer when clever bods have processed it and that hedge clippings around the country are a welcome contribution to this we can all do as community projects. Nor that there garden has poisonous things in it, not that they planted stuff in the hedgerows that are a problem for the horses.

IMO, you calculate your risks sensibly, not eradicate them. Cooking chicken properly is the most sensible thing to do with it. Rolling it around your sink less so. We feed raw chicken on the bone to our cats and sometimes dogs. For this reason, even if my kitchen floors were clean the five second rule never applies, as that would be foolish.

Nikkster, just tried to send you a message...
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Ah right, he turned that one down although he is not too far away in Bucks.
