If it were the bottles (or glasses) with Coca-Cola written in the glass itself and you could have your name in the glass in the same font then I would be interested.

I'd worry that then they'd own your name!

Then it goes to the next level. People who think that drinking a bottle of wine in a day, or with one meal, is normal/acceptable.

    Alcoholics!!

When I worked in the City (20 years ago) it was quite acceptable to drink a bottle of wine (each) at a Wine bar or restaurant at lunchtime, then continue back to work in the afternoon :eek:Although you'd only do it once or twice a week ;) I assume it would be an instant dismissal if you did it now.

I once had a Broker come see me on a Friday afternoon, who I had to send away as he was absolutely Pickled. I found out (the following monday) that him and his mate had consumed seven bottles between them in a single lunchtime / afternoon session!

My name is not out there.... it's an odd 'un.

Mine isn't that common. Probably not in this country.

My name is extremely common, but with an unusual spelling, so no chance of seeing it on a Coke bottle.
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Depends what you do really. The IDBs and market makers still seem to get hammered at lunch time. I don't think there is much of that behaviour on banks' trading floors anymore though - although I think the fx traders still did it but they have pretty much all been fired now!

I still drink occassionally on Friday lunch times but only when someone else is paying on their expense account which is only about once a quarter unfortunately!

Two statistics that stick with me are with regard to calories:

    - a regular pot of supermarket yoghurt contains more calories than a regular pot of supermarket chocolate mousse.
    - a glass of fruit juice has more calories than a glass of Coke.

Makes me laugh when people say they're eating "healthily" by eating yoghurt and drinking fruit juice. They're not as "good" as their statement implies.

Actually, for the first time the other week, I randomly picked up a multi-pack of Mr S cheapo chocolate mousses.... hadn't had any of those for a couple of years..... only 40p or something daft for 6. They were GORGEOUS :) (100 calories/pot)

I also used to prefer a curly wurly to any chocolate bar that called itself "diet" as it felt like you were eating a "proper chocolate bar" and it tasted nicer. Stopped eating those in 2006 when one took a filling out on my birthday :(

I love though sainsbury's mousses - the only trouble with them is that there are 600 calories in six of them and I always eat the whole lot on the first day!

I'm quite good ... I'll have two in quick succession on each of 3 days usually.

How's home ownership chewy? Been drinking gin and groin thrusting?? Or has it just been paint pots and more ruddy cushions so far?

People have been knocking on the door to congratulate me and I have enjoyed the renters who live in the smaller houses on the edge of the village doffing their caps to me as I stride down the high street, head held high, knowing that I have moved up a class.

I still get shouted at for leaving my shoes lying about the place though.

Ah ... an Englishman's home is his castle ... when the missus is out, or when he's in the garden and she can't see/hear him being treated like a Lord :)
