I disagree, there are lots of different blues. I have north facing rooms painted blue and they may feel cool (which I like) but not cold.

Ah, but I am not a fan of cool rooms. I like warmth. That'll be why we disagree about blue walls. :)

I do love the blue walls in the south facing bedroom in my house, though.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

So, I signed the papers ... and will get 10% across to solicitor early next week ... and I've a pre-exchange viewing booked over the weekend.

    Yay! Great news!

    Dodgy hugs from Liverpool. :grouphug:

Well done! You are nearly there.

When do you hope to complete?

I'm sure I ticked this to multiquote and then it forgot to include it or something. Just realised I never posted what I was intending to say...
I agree with what you say about goals and if you can be happy with a 3 bed house in streatham then you're probably going to have a better life that someone who simply will not rest until they have bought a £25m Georgian mansion overlooking regents park as they will almost certainly never achieve their objectives.

I agree. I think the person who aspires to a 3 bed in Streatham will probably also be happier than the person whose sights never rise beyond the flat in Brixton that Gen's friend sold to move to Streatham.

In education, we are always supposed to encourage students to have goals that are achievable but not too easy. I suspect that's a good idea in life, too.

Any preferences? I think I like bottom left.

My favourites are the second and third in, at the same level as the light switch.

But mainly, very impressed that you're already onto picking paint colours!

I like the second one in too. It looks like Cookie Dough (the paint colour, not the food, though I like that too). Are they Dulux colours chewy? I think I can see what looks like natural hessian and natural calico too.

I like that you have put labels on them, very logical. Can't read them from here though.

I've just got back from a couple of days away. Survived presenting. That and something else made it a not exactly relaxing trip. Very nice to be home again.

First thing I did was head outside to check my plants  Everything looks ok. Very pleased that everything hadn't wilted!
