Apparently, he's thinking of Kurdistan. The FCO is less concerned about that region, except the border areas. Of course, to get there from turkey involves crossing the border.
And he complains that our house is an idiots' convention! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Do I understand that the USA and Iran will be allies in supporting the Baghdad regime? How the world changes in ironical ways!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Any preferences? I think I like bottom left.
I'd tend to avoid blue if it's a north or east facing room - can be quite cold.
I agree with DG re. matching furniture or curtains. Also with PN that a colour looks completely different in alcoves etc. I prefer lighter colours.
Not much help, I guess! The first time we drove through this area, we drove past a house and I fell in love with it. Only saw the outside but I thought it was beautiful. It has just come on the market, marketing pictures make the inside look as good as the outside.
I love that house, including its d!cor (the pink bedroom excepted ... ). Pity I've moved from Inner Herts and don't have a spare few mill around (plus the helicopter for the daily commute back up north).PasturesNew wrote: »So, I signed the papers ... and will get 10% across to solicitor early next week ... and I've a pre-exchange viewing booked over the weekend.

I like the one above it more, but depends on how much light will be coming in.
We just had the whole house painted white before we moved in post renovation, mainly cos we couldn't work out colours before we were in. We actually like it, as the wall colours appear very different from front to back, and across the day. At least if we decide to go with colour later we're starting from a blank canvas! :j
My preference is always for pale colours anyway, I like to maximise light!
Didn't yet get to congratulate you on the completion yet - so glad it all went through OK.Enjoy your new home!

Apparently hidden cash Twitter accounts have attracted very large numbers of followers. How much would a following of say 70,000 be worth? Say it costs a couple of thousand pounds to create that many followers plus a few hours of time spent hiding the money and leaving clues, would that be a paying business proposition? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

For the avoidance of any posh alerts, it is clearly way above my budget.

Gorgeous house.
I like your taste.Who would have thought that suncreams can block X rays?
The UV and X-ray parts of the spectrum are next to each other and the boundary between them isn't well defined, just like the boundary between blue and green, for example. The sun emits most strongly in the visible part of the spectrum (which is why, having evolved on a planet in orbit round it, we have eyes that can see that bit of the spectrum) and quite a lot of UV but only a tiny amount of X-rays. Most sunscreens absorb very well in the extreme UV region (ie the bit closest to X-rays) but I can't find any data for sunscreen absorption that goes all the way to actual X-rays. The extreme UV and everything beyond it are well absorbed by the atmosphere so we don't need to worry about them in everyday life anyway.Beige yuk! Don't do beige. Ever. Life is dull enough without beige.
I would go for that nice strong blue diluted half and half with white. Try that and maybe add a tad more white.
I agree with the suggestions already made that blue is nice for sunny rooms but not for north-facing ones, and that it's best to think what colour the furniture's going to be before picking wall colours as well as trying the colours out on different walls in the same room, and that beige is dull.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Oooh, that goal was sublime. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I thanked you on the basis that you are almost certainly right!

Ferrari don't have a team entered, and I've always found it odd given that the colours on the Italian flag are those of an insalata tricolore, that Italy play in blue and are called the azzurri. It just feels wrong somehow.
The game is not going how the form book suggested, however goal 2 was epic. I'm not a big football fan but I have been to quite a few matches in my time (probably 30+, which is quite a lot for a non-fan).
I do prefer F1, but the World Cup is the World Cup.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
