Told you doozer would bring horrid weather. Rain, rain, rain.
Old boiler out.
( tbc , that's not the old boiler, that's the last of the pellets from the hopper (and floor) with some twigs already in the fire pit )0 -

Same here.
Thank you. I needed something frivolous like that this morning.
While I was off line some one sent me a thing of a puppy that rolls down hills seemingly for fun. I'm not sure how to link it. Made me think of that giddy running up hills to roll down one did as a wobbly child. Remember when that was fun?
Hmm, maybe think about that when you feel better, sorry0 -

What is that? At first glance I thought it was BBQ.
We lost power again last night - but had a bit of warning as the lights flickered so I had filled some flasks and lit the fire.0 -

That's a brilliant fire pit a friend on Mse gave us when she discovered DH wanted to buy one. Crocus online sell very nice ones.
Edit, yes, you can use them as barbecues..

Thanks.
We a fire pit is the table, and have half a dozen very comfy chairs. It also has an ice bucket to swap for the fire pit. In theory we can cook on it but most of the time we just treat it as a table and use the kettle BBQ.
If the weather ever warms up we will get it back out again
This is it

Probably they are trying to be helpful, and have no idea that what they are doing is the very opposite of helpful. Or possibly they are sufficiently narcissistic to think that your illness features on the global stage merely as an excuse for talking about theirs and throwing their weight around.lostinrates wrote: »Gen, people are only saying stuff because they care and don't really know what to say so they end up spouting rubbish probably.
Sorry it hurts so much.

Some diseases seem to put a communications wall up that stop people having sensible conversations. I tried to explain this to another poster with lymphoma on another thread a year ago. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I don't mind a bit of friendly advice, far from it in fact.
What bothers me is when people basically tell me I'm an idiot for following the advice from a genuine expert rather than their half-baked BS and that I am suffering as a direct result of following the advice of my Doctor.
It also doesn't help that Mrs Generali isn't coping at all with this. I've spent the best part pf 2 decades supporting her through severe intestinal pain caused by her massive sugar intake (probably) and various mental health issues. I get sick for a week and I'm the world's biggest AH. To be fair, she has apologised and seems to be trying to make things up to me.
I am about .5mm away from the end of my tether. I have idiot SiL over on Sunday. I fear she may well take the brunt of my pain. Oh well, too bad. It was quite funny last time.0 -
Vent and unload on the NP thread as much as you like, and at annoying SIL as well. A bit of ranting never did any harm!

That's gorgeous! You'll look absolutely lovely....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
