Had a wonderful day today...
We started with a small tea party for my niece who is 2 today (well yesterday now!) and then me and Josh went on to a beer festival which had live bands playing all day. Youngest stayed with family while we went as he just cannot cope with the noise or the crowds and although I tried for a few years to take him to events like this, I have finally given in and realised that some people just don't like them and he happens to be one of them.
It was nice to spend some quality time with Josh though, doing something we both love...and the music was good too!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Your employer wants low standards? :eek:0 -

I can see that TBH. Often in business, good enough is good enough IYSWIM.
There has to be a balance between quantity and quality of output. Most of us are working for Toyota not Rolls Royce. By trying to make everything into a Rolls we're screwing with the business model.0 -
I'd like to suggest that all NPs who are parents might find this interesting.
Not least because it links to my fave Professor Hertfordshire's top brainbox Richard Wiseman.
Wonder how many NPs remember 8-track cartridges, a kind of tape used in cars that only had one button, for changing between four sections of the tape. And an eject button of course. NO play/FF or RW buttons.
I remember freinds' dads having them, we never did.
We did have a reel-to-reel from when my dad worked in training. He also used to bring home a terminal for the mainframe now and again. You had to dial the number for the computer and when it answered you'd plug it in. It had a dot matrix printer rather than a screen. They had ASCII art on the mainframe (Google it if you don't know it, it's interesting) including pictures of ladies with few/no clothes.

Amazing election results eh? Disappointing obviously but that's democracy. If you're going to win you have to have people vote for you.0

& before Pn gets in there, it's the cheapest A0 size frame I can find.
The bigger pics, the online prices are all high. When postage is added, I think it'll be cheaper for me to shop local & get in my car.
Something to do tuesday methinks, the day before completion....
Yeah, they're not cheap are they .....
I'd go with the car option - getting something like that mailed could end up tricky ... and if you go local it's in your possession and there's no waiting, no disappointment when it comes/doesn't, no issues over materials/quality etc0 -

I've been to 2 christenings: The Boy's and The Girl's.
At The Girl's I asked if we could sing Jerusalem or Abide With Me, both songs are associated with English sport.
The vicar had us all sing Bread of Heaven instead. He was Welsh.0 -
Off for a quick drive by of the house - although not sure why really .... I guess to check out how badly people park in the car park, but realistically could I really see anything going on that would give me any sign that I shouldn't buy it? Tricky one that ... you're supposed to go at various times; I've been at various times, but can't access the car park (private/small/noticeable and don't want to be "spied" continually pulling in). Oh well .... back in 10 minutes anyway
