Been googling to find local framing places.lemonjelly wrote: »Funnily enough, I'm ravenous. Trying to decide what kinda omlette to make.:)
Have measured the posters. I have the following which need framing:
Circular poster - 27.5 inches diameter
Lion - 16.75 inches x 23.5 inches
Lost Horizons - 50.5 inches x 26.5 inches
Tour - 40 inches x 60 inches
Plus the map - 841mm x 1189mm
I believe the Lion pic can be got a frame at The Range. I fear the others are going to be costly - The Range & Ikea seem to have their biggest frames as 70cm x 100cm (27.5 inches x 39.5 inches).
This might get a bit pricey...:(
On the plus side, I have 1 other pic where the glass broke in it, & I've realised that can be reframed by shopping at the range too. Good, as that was a worry.
However the google results showed 3 local shops. None have any price guides on their websites.
That's always a concern...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

All the more encouragement for full utilisation of the composter though!:j
Speaking of which, the first signs of lettuce sprouts are appearing. Will plant much more lettuce next weekend.:)
I should probably do more (some) composting. There is at last one composter here. My parents have never made their own compost so it feeds like a bit of a voyage into the unknown. I'd have to get past the weeds to rescue the composter anyway. Maybe next year...0 -

Do you want a frame or protection?
I am wondering if a glazier could make a big 'clip frame' equivalent more cheaply than a huge frame? The very simply display lets the poster do the talking but be protected?0 -

On her last trip to Aus my DD went to Wolongong for a few days and stayed in Uni halls. Wolongong was very very quiet so she cut short her visit and went elsewhere. She thought the bay beautiful.0 -
Thought you 2 were having a dig, then remembered that you haven't seen my new wall hanging.
It sort of looks like this
but the trees are made of metal and the fence of wood.
I like it.
I have big book of Anthony Gormley sculpture and installations. It has made me think of it and I want to go and look at the book now. His work is so powerful and seems to have real meaning (well to me it has, but what do I know)0 -

No, but reading that made me really want a mint aero, which I'm now about to demolish. Up until reading that I was about to have a glass of tomato juice. I'm now in a quandry, as tomato juice and mint aeros don't go together well and the choc is winning. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
