Nikkster,
If you have a lot of chopping and shifting to do would you conside getting a garden incinerator?
After our bonfire saga last year OH has gone off themso has bought one a bit like this http://www.sam-turner.co.uk/gardening/galvanised-dustbin-incinerator-18-inch.html?gclid=CMr32YDOpL4CFbShtAod6UsA8A
We may have cornered the market in things galvanised:
Watering can
Incinerator
Bath
Dustbin
Coalbunker
Chicken waterers
Feed troughs
I even found myself looking at cattle troughs. Why I have no idea.0 -

You have to be people's "sort of people" for them to have any desire to help you.
I'm an odd and acquired taste.
I'm a bit of an odd and acquired taste too. And my house is a complete tip (I'm still clinging onto 'getting myself sorted' etc etc) - the place is relatively clean, but there is stuff everywhere, which is a bit embarrassing when they e.g. come in to help remove the large pieces of wood that blocked up a doorway. I'm definitely not very much like them, but we seem to be getting on well as neighbours. Well, I think I'm doing much better than them out of our relationship! That is such practical help:T Well done neighbours.
I suspect that they are grateful to have you move in as the house was a student let before and the garden let go.
You are probably a godsend and they can see their house value increasing by you taking care of your property and being a lovely neighbour.
Yes, and practical help is absolutely perfect. I'd much rather that than any other 'gift'. They told me that they'd considered buying my house as it's a) detached and b) they could control who became their neighbour when they sold their house. They were very pleased that the purchaser was going to be resident.
Not sure I'm a lovely neighbour - I'm definitely trying hard not to come across as too needy/ demanding.
I'm certain I've increased their house value plenty already - by paying what I did for my house0 -

There is actually what looks like a metal dustbin in the garden (next to what I think is a composting dalek). Not sure whether it is a dustbin or an incinerator as it is surrounded by weeds. Not sure I'd be brave enough to incerate even if it is one tbh. Chopping everything down small I don't think it'll take too long to get rid of everything. I'm not in too much of a rush (though there is plenty more stuff for me to prune).0 -

2. It's not mine; I rent and it's the LL's oven
3. Branded confectionery. I know.... it felt wicked, but I figured as I was in there "saving £8" by buying more food for the same amount of money, I could justify it.... and I did pick based on £/100g and was specifically looking at quality/branded. They were 4 for £1 and worked out at 64p/100g, which is a price that was a price I was prepared to stretch to. The full RRP of that pack is £1.79 ... if they'd been that I'd have walked out with something else, or nothing.
Bizarre pricing there this week. One bar (39g) is 60p; special price of "buy two for 90p".... or the four packs are £1! Had to buy four to get my money's worth
I was only jokingWe all need to splash out every now and again and I'm pleased you did.
From when I used to buy stuff for someone else's lunchbox (to persuade them not to buy it all from the van at work for a stupid amount more), that was often the case with choc bars. There was always some kind of multipack for £1 which was just a no-brainer compared to the price of a single bar.
Even thought it's not yours I'm still jealous of the oven. I keep having to remind myself I don't have a hob or an oven when I'm planning dinner. Hasn't got bad enough to force me to decide what to do about it though0 -

I live on a loooong road and there are some much more expensive houses. But the near neighbours with the same floorplan (though the others are all semis) should all like me well enough (esp those who bought ages ago). Others have paid more than me, but from the looks of rightmove the houses had been done up. As opposed to mine.0

Why frightened? Worth while getting to even if just for paperwork to dispose off. We have huge bonfires, but use incinerator that sounds like yours too.
