You sound as though you are suggesting they should do this together. Is that what you intended?

Did you post that because it's the only pic of a cake on the MSE smiley list, or was that a subtle hint that it's your birthday and nobody remembered it?

Nikkster...I am sorry you have been sad. You have done so much over the last year. I am really proud of you.

    Have we missed your birthday?

Masomania...if something is going nowhere it is best it gets there quickly. These older women....how does 26 grab you?:rotfl:

We could chuck in a few grand and a ladder.

Yes, today is the anniversary of my birth. No one here missed or forgot as no-one here should particularly remember/ be aware ;) Never very much of a cause for celebration, but waking up to a text wishing me a good day 'despite everything' set me off with completely the wrong tone for the day. I'm not even particularly bothered about being another day older than yesterday, or about the things I have to sort out (well, perhaps the one that requires thinking and writing). But I woke up feeling sorry for myself and very empty and alone.
You are so dear. What a lovely bunch I chat to daily .

Definitely. I work with some lovely people too.

Great photo ukmaggie45. We have stingless bees in Australia yet still some numpty decided to import the sort with stings.

Now the number one animal causing human deaths is.......the European honey bee!

We get Eurovision bundled up into a weekend festival of Europop this weekend.

I once went to a Eurovision party in Islington, held by a friend of a friend. Someone shot at me on the way there with a small pistol! I think he was aiming to miss.

There are 3 parties (2 more) in London this week (Thursday and Saturday)

PM me, and I'll PM you the address, as whilst I'm not connected with the establishment, there will be a number of people I know there.

So, picture the scene. You're a student at university. You're worried about student loans/fees/debts. Older brother has a well paid job in London, & is fairly minted. You have conversations about money & debts & your worries. Older brother issues a challenge:

Remain in the Library at university for 6 weeks. You can leave for 45 minutes of each day to wash & change clothes. 23 hours 15 mins every day must be spent in the library. You use that to study, work hard. Complete this for 6 weeks, & pass your degree, & I'll pay off all your student debts in full.

A worthy challenge. What a fab idea!

I could definitely sleep/ timewaste for 23 hours a day in a library. I wouldn't even need paying that much :)

Actually, just thought, I woke up with a mild panic because I remembered I'd forgotten to switch my alarm back on and had no idea what time I'd wake up at (luckily it was 7 am).

Its tomorrow :) Back to normal getting on with life :)

When I used to work in an off-licence in Sheffield I was invited by some customers to a Eurovision party. Quite nice of them I thought.

Happy birthday Nikkster :) I've been exactly the same about birthdays the last few years. Hope you had a good day anyway!
