The Generalissimos' school song is even sung to the tune of Waltzing Bleedin' Matilda.

You'd think that in 113 years a country could come up with more than 3 songs, 4 if you include Living Next Door to Alice.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The only place I have heard that song is in my car. It should be an Aussie classic but isn't.

Acca Dacca could provide more Australian tunes but Aussies are snobbish about them.

perhaps because they're Aussie like Aussie Joe Bugner?

My favourite Aussie song is this one:

I was going through my laid back rock Chicago/Bread phase at the time...

I do really like it, it is a guilty pleasure.

I hope that Malcolm Young is on the road to recovery. Sad news on Acca Dacca this week.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Dh is working hard and eating hard. I am no longer worried about his intake.

This morning he ended up having brioche with me, along with disgusting lotus biscuit stuff on toast, and sping onion bread.

Through the morning he finished orange cake and and has been eating lupin beans. He's asked for the rice and peas for lunch, so I am doing that now. And he&'so asked for more cake. I'm a bit worried I'm making soup for supper, that it won't be enough, but rain has driven us in now, so it won't be as hard working an afternoon.......

I'd forgotten about them! And Savage Garden. I went to see Darren Hayes in concert at the Hammersmith Odeon or whatever it was called at the time.

    Aren't they Kiwis?

They wouldn't be the first Kiwis to be claimed as Aussies or even as Poms (Sir E. Hillary, I'm looking at you).
