When I grew up we had a big garden (well, about 100' long and 30' wide) and virtually unlimited free seeds. There was everything out there. We had about 6 random/different apple trees and, from memory, spuds, various colours/types of cabbages, cauliflowers, sprouting broccoli, brussels sprouts, peas, green beans, broad beans, onions, asparagus, parsnips, swedes, strawberries, rhubarb, tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, beetroot, mint, spearmint, parsley ... must have been a lot more that I can't remember too.

I do know there was no greenhouse or similar, so it was whatever can be grown outside that my parents liked to eat.

Excellent news! (so long as your B.P is ok...)

I have spied two more little shoots sprouting today - I think they are chilli plants.
I'm now starting to get worried about my ability to keep them alive :o

I worry about these people moving to Mars. If they can't grow chillies there, we might as well bow out now and say sayonara to the cosmos. :(

Single and on 15k I could have a lifestyle with some disposable me money. Instead it doesn't matter how many days I work, how little of my leave I take I have no money to spendon myself.

Something is wrong there. Given the high spec of the way you've fairly recently done up your house, there is clearly some disposable money somewhere in your family's finances. Perhaps your family have been misled by the way in which you enjoy the game of being ultra-MSE into thinking that you don't want any fun money. Maybe it's time to explain how you feel. Maybe it's also time to look for a more enjoyable job.

Also as it is this time of year I have a cough.cold and slight temperature. Same every year but as it is caused by hay fever doctor is not interested.

Can you see a different doctor? Maybe even a different one at the same practice? Explain how debilitating your hayfever is, and see if they can suggest stronger treatments than the usual first line of attack for "normal" hayfever sufferers.

Quite loud but really very funny. Turn it down if you're at work:

it has subtitles so you don't need volume at all.

    Priceless! Thanks Gen.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I'll do you one of my curries at some point Zag; not spicy and you don't need chillies for anything, trust me.

Saying that is more 'do as I say, not as I do' moment, though :o

    This was my thought too.

I've been to see my named GP before now about something, and when I've seen the GP I usually see afterwards (who knows my medical history in depth), a different course of action would have been taken.

Things have got more interesting in Eurovision land.....

I pulled off the Russian delegation last month to take 'Head of English-language Press' for Armenia.

Dasha pulled off last week as Head of Delegation, to take a press role with Ukraine, and now Ioana's left, to take up a support role with the EBU (the body that organises the contest).

Delegation of 6, and 3 of the strongest press officers in the contest have now pulled off, all taking demotions......You do the maths!

Just go and look at it. It's about you, not the agent. I don't think they care which house you buy as long as they get their commission.

You might feel a bit awkward, but do you want to live in the wrong house or feel awkward for a couple of hours? People think about themselves, PN, no one obsesses nearly as much as we think people do about us.

If I'm going to be matronly, I don't think that trawling rightmove for hours/weeks/months but only viewin one house is a great method if there are compromises to be made. Lemonjelly has the benefit that his budget will buy the wishlist up here, so all the boxes are ticked. :o

You've told us many times that the last houses weren't great decisions. It's okay to worry about what you're doing - it's natural - but I haben't heard you say all that much nice about te house since you made the offer. Are these small things that appear magnified to us because you're only tellin us your worries?

I'll just check the crime stats and google for court cases/criminals/damage/problems then make a call :)

You could go and trust your intuition to start with? Then google crime stats if you like it.

Houses are more than just photographs and statistics. You should trust yourself to go and create your own thoughts and feelings.
