I keep trying to get in to the bath but its too hot.

Excellent news! (so long as your B.P is ok...)

I have spied two more little shoots sprouting today - I think they are chilli plants.
I'm now starting to get worried about my ability to keep them alive :o

Last reading today was 114/63. I don't feel unsafe having a hot bath as a result :).

In any case, got in, scrubbed a little, rinsed hair, telephone rang. Have given up for tonight.

Just knowing I can is a nice feeling. :)

I think non res p feels there will be no one to discuss Byron with for example. This is already a bit of a problem as getting about gets harder. There is only so much Byron I can take. And I try not to discuss the arts with them because it brings out the worst in me and reminds me I am suffering the same kind of cultural isolation in real life often. :(

He needs to get online and create a Facebook Group or similar for that :) Maybe a localised FB Group.... then he can meet them in real life later - maybe a pub lunch, with vintage wine and a chat about Byron.

You have reminded me that I also have some chilli seeds to sow. Thank you.

I checked yesterday and my two little mice were still all cosy in their nest. Mr Spirit thinks they will be feasting on his newly planted seed potatoes. Should relocate them, but I haven't got the heart to disturb them and I do not want to make them homeless.

Absolutely no point me planting peas if they are still in residence as I rarely get more than a couple of pea plants growing due to birds and mice eating the seeds.

Totally silly treating the mice as 'pets' as my elderly cat frequently murders shrews and mice.

Pea shoots are, IMO a nicer home crop than peas which ( I am about to commit sacrilege) I really hate podding and always get sore bits under nail beds from doing and I really think the taste benefit is so tiny over decent frozen petit pois is not worth it for me.

Pea shoots on the other hand I love.

We used to grow peas, used to love picking them and popping them open in the garden then eating the peas (after checking for small maggots). Doing a whole collander full wasn't so much fun.

If you'd not found a solution, I'd have suggested a stanley knife or scissors. I've also seen ready-podded peas in bags in supermarkets.

Definitely putting a bit of stud partition wall upstairs on the next list of works.

That might mean one bedroom can be got in to 'finished' condition upstairs quite easily, wall, new window as and when . If we are lucky floor in there might be ok. Just realised how much difference that tiny bit of wall would make. :)

    :). :)

Using old bathroom tonight. I just cannot seem to make the shift over though bath in new one works fine. I'll sort out cupboards etc this week I think. Encourage others to assess their stuff at weekend and do the same and get old one ready to rip out.
I always find myself doing the same dance of the bathroom...:D

I planted the first tomato seeds a week ago. It'll take 4 weeks for anything to come through. Not going to plant anything else this year, as moving & settling will account for too much time. Next year, I'll go for it though!

Never had any luck growing peas, they always died.:(
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
