I'm a grape too. Hope no-one tramples us into wine, Silver, or peels us....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

You know you want to:
What type of fruit are you?
I'm a grape.
"You're adaptable and intelligent. Always one step ahead of the rest, your friends often rely on you to know the answer to any question or help update their resumes. If everyone would just let you write 'The Rules for Life' that everyone must follow, the world would be a better place."
These are starting to get dubious! As much as I would agree that you are adaptable and intelligent, and always good for the correct answer, I'm failing to see the grape link
I am an orange.

Guy whose house we visited in America had a concrete kitchen worktop. Was smooth to the touch, in a um concrete color but with imperfections in the colouring, it looked stylish.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. your new quote, doozer - could do with "already" having a "y" added?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Sorry, I've had four glasses of wine and am still struggling with the concept of getting sound advice from an orange.
What have I done?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

YOU are the orange. You're getting advice from a grape. The advice is that the "alread" in your quote would benefit from a concluding "-y" (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Our new neighbour loves our magnolia too - she told OH she always wanted one but now she has the best of all worlds - she can see ours but doesn't have to look after one. :rotfl:
We are so lucky that we have so many great plants in our garden. Nearly all planted by the previous owner (and there's a fantastic tale to tell about him and his family). We've added some stuff - tree peony and some more peonies. And a rose in the back, plus we dug out the laurel bushes in front garden (I loathe laurel) and replaced it with 2 Rosa The New Dawn with lots of garlic planted underneath (good Companion Planting). But there keeps coming up more stuff we didn't know about before OH hacked out the brambles at the back.
Next job is to dig out the left back bed again ready to put in some spuds. The first earlies are already planted at the lottie, idea is to plant some of the second earlies down there, and some up here. But prob most of the maincrop up here. We'll see in a couple of weeks. We have a small garlic bed up here this year, bit to the left and in front of the shed, the majority is down on the lottie. Nearly all of that weedy and brambly stuff from the photos before have been dug up and the land well used the last couple of years - beans, garlic, spuds mainly. The tomatoes last year failed, and the first year the build happened just as they ripened so I couldn't get to them - too dangerous over the piles of bricks etc.
I think with combining here and the lottie we can grow a lot of food stuff. But currently we have too much else going on to tackle it all sufficiently well to do that. Old home is getting clearer, nearly time to get the EAs back. MiL home also getting clearer and almost ready for sale (hopefully maybe to family). Once that lot is done we'll have more free time for garden, lottie, and caravan (and boat). Be glad when that happens! You know you want to:
