James is now home for the holidays, we picked him up yesterday. Despite warnings to be ready (Lovverr really does not do waiting), all he had managed to do was sort out his dirty washing...the lure of Dragonball Z was too much apparently.

He has a horrible cough, really hacking but he says it is much better than it was, has lost so much weight but also appears to have grown a couple of inches too, he now towers over both his nans (and me too really, grrr). He really didn't have the spare weight to lose in the first place but his calorific needs are so high, it is hard to keep things stable on the grants/loans/extra income/extra food deliveries from home he receives (it used to cost me a fortune in food for him when he was at school and 6th form)

His being home has seriously unsettled Josh, not youngest so much, I think because youngest locks himself away in his room and tends not to associate with the rest of us anyway. Josh however, was chuffed with James...James had managed to get him a camcorder (second hand, relatively old but still HD) so that he can record his drum covers again instead of having to wait until James came home to nick his.

It's nice to have him back though, even if he will insist on having the TV volume much too loud!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Pah!

Try getting up when jet lag means your body still thinks its the middle of the night and the decorator is hammering away on the stairs.

Painting with a hammer is not a great idea.

Opened my laptop to start work this morning, to discover that my little angels smashed the screen over the weekend.

I have about half a screen to play with - the bottom right hand side on the diagonal. Trying to make a slideshow. I'm doing okay, considering!

    Shall do.

It was beans on toast for dinner and I told Mrs Generali she had to pick up The Boy from Cub Scouts.

I sleep in my daughter's bed on a Monday night because the bin men wake me up at 4am and the whole process takes an hour. I've changed all the sheets so I've got a nice bed to sleep in. I'll be in bed by 9pm latest.

Just another week and a half to get through and it's Easter.

Easter works really well for us this year because we have Friday 18th and Monday 21st off like you guys but then Friday 25th is ANZAC day. I'm also taking the Monday and Tuesday of the following week off so by taking 5 days of holiday time I'll get 18-29th off.

I bought 2 weeks extra holiday this year too. Wonderful.

Can you plug it into your TV with the HDMI cable?

Reminding me how far we're falling behind schedule.

Easter weekend was meant to be herb garden weekend when DH and I laid new paving and beds. :(.

Not ordered paving even. I'm probably not going to be 'allowed to' anyway,

Realised another "snag" of the house that was on my wish list for a reason .... in bad weather, being able to drive up to the door to offload shopping etc. Instead, the house will require me to park up, go through a gate, hop along stepping stone slabs down a slight slope, then walk 20 feet to the door. Total distance is probably 40 feet....
    Oh well ...
I seem to be buying something that got none of the boxes ticked, just because I needed to buy something.....
