Alert on loanwizarduk and creditmaze

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these companies.

Just discovered that they are masquerading as payday loan companies with false promise. They then take £69 from your account while claiming to help you get a loan. This is utter nonesense. Then they make it very difficult to get your money back.

Is what these companies doing illegal and is there a case to be heard?

I'm not suggesting a payday loan is a good idea but why are you looking at relatively unknown companies for a loan?

What's wrong with the popular companies who advertise on TV?

Why is it difficult to get your money bank?
It should only take a few minutes to write a letter and stick it in a post box next time you venture out.

Do you mean that you have applied to these companies and they have taken money from your account? If so, did you read the Terms and Conditions, and did you give them your card details and security number?

    What is 'utter nonsense?

    No case to answer here.

You sure the fee wasn't mentioned ? Mmm you sure about that.

OP Im going to have a guess here and say a pay day loan isn't what you need, you need to do an soa and post it on the debt free board.

    http://www.loanwizarduk.com/

    One the front page:
Join the community that's helping members find loans, credit cards, great deals and much more!

    Membership

We charge a simple and transparent one off fee of £69.85 for new members. This fee means that we can be completely independent and recommend products based on what's best for you and not on who will pay us the most commission.
Mmmm, doesn't appear to be the most Ninja like masquerade to me.

    http://www.creditmaze.co.uk

Again, big letters on the front page:
We help our members find loans, credit cards, great utility deals and much more!

We charge a simple one off joining fee of £69.72 which includes your first month of membership and £8.99 a month there after. This fee means that we can be completely independent and recommend products based on what's best for you and not on who will pay us the most.

Both of those are on the Homepage of the websites.
Maybe Jamjar saw the word Loan and simply made the rest up.

Come on guys - be nice to Newbies. The OP isn't the first and won't be the last to put their card details into a random site without reading the T & C's.

OP - you need to write to them claiming a refund. They are allowed to keep £5 for 'administration'. In future, be very careful who you give out your card details to. It is a jungle out there.

Yes, I know. But sometimes people are desperate.

Yes Yes i have been ripped off by this company!! i have been on the phone to them since 3rd March and got no where with my refund. they tell me a different story every time. but just to rub salt in my wounds they keep sending me txts asking if am enjoying my membership with them and hope i feel i have benefited from being a paid up full member and how pleased i will be with the service they offer me? i even got a letter from the manager of customer services yesterday which was an insult!! welcoming me as a new member and i hope i am enjoying and finding how much money i will be saving from being a member. and how he claims i will be saving 200 hours a week on not having to search for a loan because they will do all that for me? and at the bottom of the letter a notice of receipt of membership fee i have paid. he wanted to give me a receipt he said to confirm i have paid my membership and iam going to benefit so much from it.? WHAT A LOAD BULL!! unbelievable. when they took the £69.85 they took what i had left to live for the week they dont realize what they are doing and how it impacts on ur lives seriously i had not penny i had to take two days holiday from work because i had no money for petrol. iam so angry but very frustrated and cant believe how people can do this how do they sleep at night knowing what they are doin?! i hope they get their karma i really do. and todays phone call the out was after ringing the number over 10 times the one on their website.toady i get told i HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER and they cant help me and put the phone down?!! shocked or what? disgusting it really is! so dont anyone go near them please!!

Yes, you have been taken for a ride. So get back at them by doing what it says in their Terms & Conditions. WRITE A LETTER!!! Don't waste your money phoning. If you do that and don't get your money back, then take the case to the proper authority, which will cost them a darned sight more than £69.85.

Read the posts above - especially Post #7 - it will take less time than one of your phone calls and find out how to do it properly.
