Yes why not call the bank, if the offer available from Loan Wizard isnt acceptable / doesnt match what the T&C's state then go to the FOS about them. Dont enter your card details into any website that isnt a reputable lender or a broker or promises a loan if you enter your card details on the website.0

Was sent a text from them today stating they wouldn't be upping the offer. I called and stated they can keep their admin fee (£5) and refund the rest. She told me that as a membership service and not a broker, they do not fall under that regulation. What should my next step be?0

All sorted! Spoke to my bank who were adamant they WERE a loan broker and provided me with the trading standards phone number. I called back and was connected to a manager straight away. I explained I had spoken to my bank who basically said they were lying and as a "goodwill gesture" they are refunding my fee -£5 admin. And if anyone was still in doubt if loan wizard and loans direct were the same company, the text I received from loan wizard to confirm the refund was from the number loans direct have been texting from.....0

Please help. Last week I was searching for a loan and ended up at loan wizard. They said they could help but needed my account details to verify my identity and they would take ten pence out of my account to do that. So I agreed. Moving on a page appeared saying about an one time fee of £69.85. Seing that I dicited no. The were asking which day u want as to take the payment. As I recited not to go ahead I did not click on anything I just closed the page and exited their website. A few days later they took money out of my account. My bank cannot help. Calling their customer services is just a machine. Trying to log in at their website to request a refund it doesn't work even requesting for a new password that never arrives. Dozen of emails to them with no reply so I don't know what to do next. How can this people have licence to operate is beyond me. Why nobody stops them.0
