What could you do to this house to expand it?

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-43072616.html?premiumA=true

What could be done to this place to maybe expand it in your eyes, ideally would want a playroom for my 1 daughter, a study and a ensuite at a push upstairs.
Is there anything obvious we could do to make it bigger?

  • That house is already gorgeous. Are you just showing off?

If so, your position of envy is unassailable.

I have a huge 6 bedder but I would love a garden that size.
  • You could build across the back, removing the toilet and porch to create a family room and study (and putting the wc back in somewhere), I think.

    Nice house!

No, i'm not just asking, my wife loved this house but I dismissed it as too small as I wanted a 4 bed with a room downstairs for my daughter and I wanted a study for me.
Do you think the front garden wall could come down and turn the front garden into somewhere we could get more cars onto it?
Would love to be able to get another room upstairs or a ensuite somehow?

What so put a ground and upper extension on the back of the house? Suppose that could give us a bigger room and extra bedroom upstairs and the family room bigger kitchen diner downstairs...
  • Could you bring the garage up in line with the house and extend over the top? it'll open out the back too.
    Thinking critically since 1996....

Not sure how you mean, would that involve moving the garage or building ext to the garage to do that?

    It has a garden shed!
    Study with garden view.
No shower in the one bathroom which is large
For me it would be a large extension at the side and down the back single storey but that costs

Is that an aging Tarmac drive? If so, I would definitely improve the driveway to accommodate another 2 cars.

    Pictures of bedrooms are missing??
  • I was going to say - the bathroom seems rather large, compared to the smallest bedroom.
The out building/shed would make a great studio/study.
