Now down to £300k.
Must admit it, I totally hate it when people convert a lounge into bedroom and then try to attempt to sell it for more than it's worth. At best it is selling by misrepresentation.0 -

I don't get the need to label every room as a reception room or bedroom or study or whatever. People use rooms in different ways. Having three bedrooms means nothing. They could be tiny rooms, they could be huge. Square footage (or metreage) is what counts. I hope at some point in the future common sense prevails and this 'number of bedrooms' malarkey in selling houses gives way to reliable figures for floorspace alongside proper floor plans.
Regarding the OPs house, it has decent floorspace but I personally am not a fan of those very narrow but tall houses. I hope you'll find a buyer soon, but as others have mentioned the layout of the house limits the pool of willing buyers somewhat.0 -
That is one ugly looking housing estate, especially the garage/coach house set up. Maybe it will mellow in time, but the need to squeeze as many houses as possible onto one site has made for some pug ugly architecture.
The other thing I notice is the local school is independent. It looks like the nearest state primary school is over a mile away along an A road with no footpath. As a parent I would not even consider the area.Been away for a while.0 -
Thank you for the feedback.
I plan to ask my neighbour what price they agreed, but they are away at the moment.
Aldermaston Primary and the Willink Secondary School pick up and drop off by school bus. I would estimate about 20 kids to each from the Fallows.
Personally I prefer Theale Primary, and drop off and fetch my daughter, which is about 10 mins away.
The area is semi rural and not for everyone, but I like having farms and countryside surrounds but with many villages within 10 mins, and Reading or Basingstoke within 20 mins.
thank you again0 -
Here is the updated listing for those who are interested.
Rightmove will be active tomorrow.
thank you
