oh gawd - I actually wore a Kaftan in the mid seventies! and being short and skinny I looked like a collapsed tent! thankfully no photographs of this survive (I destroyed them all).
to me the 80s were all about shoulder pads and Dynasty type dresses and suits. although Goths were popular. and Cyndi Lauper epitomised 'Girls just Want to have Fun'. with her Bright neon colours and matching 'Tutus with leather jacket type' outfits. but I was too old for that fun stuff - so went for the Dynasty/Dallas look.0 -

I swear I went to the 70s-themed party with a centre parting and hair grips holding it flat to my headMortified doesn't even begin to describe it :rotfl:

in the early seventies I went to a college dressup disco night, wearing a fringed dress and a headband. I thought I was 1920s cool and sophisticated.............but everyone else thought I was Pocahontas!! oh the shame, the indignity!:rotfl:0 -

i have been looking all weekend on sites thinking up ideas as we are going in june so it should be hot i dont fancy sweating all night so the idea im leaning towards one night is. . . . . . .
being an etch a sketch, going to wear vest and shorts underneath then paint a box and decorate as an etch a sketch (we are all going as memorable 80's things one night)
