my GS doesn't really like sandwiches, he will eat Branston Pickle on white but not much else!
    he has
Savoury Eggs (those little ones in packs)
    Scotch Eggs
    Little breadsticks with cheesy dip
    ditto with chocolate dip
    mini pasty (just the one)
    small sausage roll
    for his dessert he has
fresh fruit strawberries are his fave but he will eat grapes or raspberries
    yoghurt
    fromage frais
his drink tends to be a froot shoot or flavoured water.
he also likes a handful of nuts, almonds or walnuts.

luckily they don't have food police in his school! DIL doesn't worry WHAT is in his lunchbox, she just puts in what she knows he will eat, he sometimes has school dinners too. he eats a good healthy breakfast and his tea and supper at home is healthy homecooked food.
its really hard to do a healthy packed lunch and there is no point if they wont eat it! this is DILs compromise.

Have to say, it sounds like school dinners are the obvious solution though.

What about using cocktail sticks, like a mini kebab skewer, and adding cheese and pineapple, cheese and cherry tomatoes, cocktail sausages with tomatoes or cheese and grapes. Although the way schools are going cocktail sticks are probably on the banned list!

New York bagel company do mini bagels now, I much prefer bagels to bread. They're nice with cream cheese on.

  • My son won't eat sandwiches, and never has done.

For packed lunches, he often has rice / veggies / tofu cooked in advance, sometimes oatcakes or matza bread and cheese.
