    I agree. I write as someone who did bear this in mind when putting together my SOA, & it's just as well. When I had major surgery a couple of months ago & was told I'd be on medications for several months, maybe for life, I suddenly had to find almost £100 to pay for a year's pre-paid prescription card, or face paying about £34pm for my medication (5 different items). I was off work sick at the time, so I was able to use some of the money I'd have spent on fares for it. But had I been going to work & not allowed for unforeseen expenses, I wouldn't have been able to pay that money, which was a necessary expense rather than something I could manage without.
