I bought a new pair of shoes once but when i got home and opened the box found they were both left feet, so i went back to complain.
I stormed in the shop and demanded my rights.

The name badge or you could find a number for the store and pretend you want to know the managers name to send a cv/letter with regards to any job vacancies and when you go in store ask to speak to so and so.

Or Ring up and say you'd like to send a letter to the " store manager" and ask for his / her name. If asked what it's about you can say its private.
If you just ask for the manager, it's possible you will get a duty manager.
Even more reason perhaps to make an appointment to come in and speak to " the store manager" .if asked what it's about, say you'd like to discuss that with them.
Anyone they bring out, you can ask for their name and confirm they are the store manager , not a duty or department manager.

    Thanks for the information, guys.

Haha, thanks. I thought it would be best to read the sticky, to get the most replies. I'm surprised most people don't do it?

Yeah, that's what I tried at first, but as I mentioned before, I believe they didn't take me serious due to my age.

Thanks for all the replies guys, if anybody else has any ideas, or experience with JD, feel free to post!

I think that the humour in your post was a bit too subtle for some!

Ok, we went in today and spoke to the manager.
He said that because the goods were of a satisfactory quality when bought and there inspection saying this is normal quality, that law means nothing?

    Is this correct?

He said that he couldn't refund anything without the inspection team allowing it. After kicking up a fuss, he said he would send them off for inspection again and that usually after coming back from a second inspection, they come out with a fault.

So basically, they try and fob you off the first time! When we said this to him, he said that they do a more 'thorough' inspection the second time. Then we asked why they don't do a thorough inspection the first time! To which he replied that everybody makes mistakes.

Clearly this company has awful customer service. So stay away.

    Sorry about the long message.

Tldr; If the goods turn into an unsatisfactory quality after purchase, does the sale of goods act still apply?
