Hey everyone, I'm new here. I'm going to just answer the questions in the stickied thread.
What did you buy?
I bought some Nike Air Force shoes.
When did you buy it?
18th February, tried to return 4th March
Where from? (internet or in store - it DOES make a difference)
JD Sports - In store.
How did you pay? (cash/cheque/debit card/credit card etc)
£67 via Debit card
What went wrong?
Along the outer edge of ONE shoe, it has started to fray and gone from a navy blue, to a bright white.
What are the vendors telling you?
They told me that this is 'normal wear', however, if it was, would it not be on both shoes?
What solution or remedy are you looking for? (Companies may Repair / Refund / Replace)
Refund
Is it possible to get a refund? I returned them in exactly 2 weeks and it clearly should not wear one shoe so badly within such a short amount of time.
Thanks for any help.

That is a short timescale; go back into the store and tell them you are of the opinion that, having developed a fault, you wish to return the under the Sale of Goods act, as the goods are not of merchantable quality.
The shop can offer to repair, replace or refund.
You can't demand a refund though.
Welcome to the forum BTW; nice clear first post;)

Thanks for the quick reply!
I did go in and say that I believe the shoes are faulty, I even brought up the Sales of Goods Act from that link you posted and said that the shoes are of an unsatisfactory quality, so I am entitled to a refund, or replacement. However, they said that from the inspection, it is normal wear, so the goods are not faulty?!
I feel that because I am only 16, they are trying to take advantage of my age. I plan on going in Sunday with my dad, to see if that makes a difference too!0 -
I think you've hit the nail on the head there - I'm sure your dad will get a different result.
Funny how happy they are to TAKE your money though isn't it.
(You could, if you have a mind to, kick up a fuss about age discrimination, once you've got your money back;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Yeah, I'll post back how it goes on Sunday with my dad.
Yes, you wouldn't think £67 would be such a big deal to a multi-million company!
And yes! I might just do that haha! I don't plan on shopping there again, it's ridiculous.0 -
I took a new pair of shoes back once because the heel feel off within days of purchase. At first they wouldn't give me a refund, they changed their mind when I stayed in the shop and showed the faulty shoes to the other customers.0

In general, if the sales staff aren't helping you, ask to deal with the manager. If they say he's busy, ask for a time to see him when he won't be busy.0

Okay, I've heard that some people pretend to be the manager, so how do I prove that they are the manager?
The name badge or you could find a number for the store and pretend you want to know the managers name to send a cv/letter with regards to any job vacancies and when you go in store ask to speak to so and so.0 -

Or Ring up and say you'd like to send a letter to the " store manager" and ask for his / her name. If asked what it's about you can say its private.
If you just ask for the manager, it's possible you will get a duty manager.
Even more reason perhaps to make an appointment to come in and speak to " the store manager" .if asked what it's about, say you'd like to discuss that with them.
Anyone they bring out, you can ask for their name and confirm they are the store manager , not a duty or department manager.0
