wood pallets suitable as a shed leveller?

Need to add a storage shed in the garden for some equipment.

Will obviously need to level the floor out. Are the wooden pallets used for freight suitable for use as base "leveller" for building sheds on?

dumb idea. It will rot.

Any ideas for shed bases that I can improvise out of scrap material? Dont want to pay £50 a square meter for retail shed bases,

Well ,that`s exactley what was under the solid well made shed that i have just pulled down at ours ,except there were bricks at each corner point and in the middle of each run, seemed fine , hadnt rot , so assume it had been treated and was fine level wise

Paving slabs or dig some founds and pour in concrete

How many years was it there and is the area pool water when it rains?

In the pase we have used wooden slabs under sheds. But not pallets. I think solid wood will fare a little better even if it rots as it won't cave down. Wooden pallets are a little different though.

It was laid onto a slabbed area and had been there easily 26 years as there were 1988 newspapers as insulation!

I was looking at buying one from b&q but the reviews were terrible.
