If I do mention it, I discredit myself?
Righty-O.
Slow down and put your brain in gear (read what is posted).
I said if you don't like an aspect that someone has posted (racist as you put it), then point it out.
However in this thread, you are the one who has brought that tone to the thread, which is why I said don't start it in the threads if you don;t like it.
Hopefully that makes more sense now.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

YesShame we dont get a vote south of the border, good riddance and all that0

YesScotland Yes vote now neck and neck.
As I'd hoped, the gap would narrow as the positive vision of Scotland unfolds and people grasp this historic moment.
I have this enduring vision of Scotland as the new year bell strikes 12 and peoples hearts surge with pride, Hamish staring miserably into his milky tea at home.

LOL, nice try Conrad, you just want Scotland to split so you can have eternal Tory rule in England.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Agin, I am passionate about local democracy, tis the reason I'd like English independence and to exit the EU and embrace the kind of confidence New Zealanders exhibit.
The only puzzle for me is why they would then opt into the European bureaucracy rather than the lean confidence of a Switzerland / Norway / S Korea / Taiwan / Japan, etc that easily manage to trade with the world. Even Iceland has a FTA with China, Morocco with the USA.
Both issues come down whether one has the confidence of a positive vision underpinning their outlook as opposed to a vision that the sky will fall in.0 -
that is a well dodgy graph, word, taking a poll of polls (i.e. an average of polls) and then projecting one particular poll on the end with a dotty line0

I did not say we would get more daylight , just in the evening when it would be more beneficial.
That's daft. The "evening" is the part of the day when it begins to get dark. Fiddling with the clocks doesn't alter its length or position in the day.
You could change your clock and call it 10am if you wanted - it wouldn't make your "evening" any longer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
As well as stealing all the oil the dastardly English have been plundering Scotland's daylight too!0

There are so many flaws in the independance argument that people are spending hours debating. The only way we are going to know what would happen is if it happens.
.
As I've been patiently saying from the off, the yes vote will win, it is beyond doubt.
Hamish is a smart fella but too reliant on graphs, links and the spread sheet arguments. He just doesn't get the point that and temporary difficulty will be resolved by the resourceful Scots. People aren't jelly fish on a ride, they create futures. Independance will be celebrated a million years from now. Some silly spat over currency will be a nothing.
I will admit this is also good for England as would be EU withdrawal. Localism rocks.0
