    Yes, really :D

By the way, please accept my apologies, but when I see your username, it makes me think of a dry hat and a euphemism for a condom.

Posts like this make me laugh - the Scottish independence debate has very little to do with how we feel about the English and Welsh.

Clearly that's not what the scottish independance debate is about.

What the debate spills over to is clear in almost all debates though, including the debate on this board, and the one in discussion time, and the ones aired on TV.

You'd have to be blind to look past the feelings between the nations that are building up.

If Scotland does go independant, will that mean the rest of the UK can adopt Central European Time and we will be able to have an extra hour daylight in the evenings all year around.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I think part of the problem is that many London based journalists have no understanding of Scottish politics and fall back on cliche and hyperbole when reporting on the Scottish referendum. If I relied on mainstream media for my news, I wouldn't have a clue what was really going on. Papers such as the Guardian have been appalling in my view.

By watching live streaming of independence events, and reading twitter/facebook I've found out about grassroots YES campaigning which certainly doesn't focus on nationality at all. I urge you to find some of these resources for yourself - wingsoverscotland is a great starting place.

GD, please feel free to act as an unofficial moderator and point out if anyone "spills over".
I think you'll find it interesting who breaches the banks first.

Start by reflecting who brought up anti English and racism in this thread. I believe this tone was first started in post 6 of this thread.

    Yes, why not.
You can adopt / grow links with anything European if you want ;)

P.S. you get the same amount of daylight each day. You just need to get up out of bed to appreciate it ;);)

Apparently it was Scotland that vetoed it in the past. Something about the cattle getting up in dark.

I did not say we would get more daylight , just in the evening when it would be more beneficial.

What I actually said was it works both ways, which you have appeared to ignored. I explained why I picked up on the anti english stuff as it does appear from other threads on the subject there is an "anti english feeling" when those who wish to go independant start blaming the rest of the UK for trying to stop it happening.

This does make my point somewhat though.
