NHS Parking Warning Notice

Received a warning notice for parking on a side road at East Surrey Hospital. Its from surrey and sussex healthcare nhs trust. I tried to park it in the car park but there was no space and about 14 cars waiting to enter the car park (only when another car left). Someone said to just chuck it away as they don't pursue these. I have emailed them and said I am happy to pay the cost of an hours parking, I just couldn't get into the car park to do it. Any advice?

What does the "warning notice" actually say?0

This side road, is it a public road or part of the hospital ? Who gave you this notice, is it a parking company? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Its the road leading up to the car park in the grounds of the hospital. Its double red lines (yes I know....) but a really deep pavement and I parked it on the pavement, blocking nothing, behind 3 unused ambulances so didn't block the path or anything. The notice says only 2 warnings will be given then I will receive a £60 parking charge notice. It doesn't tell me what I should pay. Can they enforce it?0

As I asked in your thread in Consumer Rights, who is the company named on the warning notice?0

So - this is the first of the 2 warnings and you only get a £60 PCN on the third occasion? If so then they haven't yet charged you anything. It would help if you posted a scan of the warning notice (use an image hosting site and remove the http bit from the link).0 -
I'm being a bit of an idiot here aren't I? They are warning me not to do it again, but not charging me. Duh!
They put it in that yellow and black plastic sleeve which made me assume it was a ticket.0 -
Don't beat yourself up over it - at least you came to the right place. While you're here have a gander at the "Newbies" thread so you'll know exactly what to do if you ever get a private parking ticket. Tell your family and friends, too.I'm being a bit of an idiot here aren't I? They are warning me not to do it again, but not charging me. Duh!

What do other posters think of this "2 warnings and then a ticket" system? I can see some advantages in it and some problems, not least of which is different drivers on different days - but it does seem a much fairer way of dealing with parking in hospital grounds than we see in many cases. The £60 charge is still way beyond any genuine loss, of course, but what if the charge was £10-£15?0 -

You've STILL not answered this question.0 -
