    Do you mean Lucy, sazzy? We've just had a little granddaughter too so I've got baby brain at the moment!

    Lucy's ok in herself if rather peed off with the collar. I took it off so she could eat and drink and she was delighted, but SOOOO didn't want it back on again. Seems daft to me to put a cone collar on when the wound is under her lower jaw in such an area that the collar is touching it...but I suppose you have to hope the vets know what they are doing!:(

    I think the vets must be worried she would scratch with her back claws. and tear the wound.
    Glad she is eating and drinking ok Zaksmum. the main thing is that she is home and ok in herself!

    That's all that really matters. At her age I was worried sick the anaesthetic might be too much for her so very thankful she's home safe with me tonight.

    Ive got a bit of baby brain going on at the moment - No1 son and his wife have just told us they are having another baby! she is about 3 - 4 weeks pregnant. Delighted for them!

    yes, its worrying with an older dog isn't it? but she couldn't have been under too deeply if she didn't have op til about 3 and she is already eating and drinking!
