my only concern with a bmw 320d coupe is the rear wheel drive aspect of it. ive never had a rear wheel drive car(how are they in rain). ive driven an a5 quattro and theyre brilliant but the new facelift version are pretty expensive. the bm i would go for is the new facelift version i thibnk 2011 onwards
The Mercedes-Benz is rear-wheel-drive as well.
If you drive sensibly, rear-wheel-drive cars are perfectly fine in the rain. In snow and icy conditions, they don't get as much traction as FWD or 4WD cars, but cornering and braking are no different. Winter tyres are a very good idea for any RWD car, or in fact any car with wide low-profile tyres. Much safer and more useful than 4WD.0 -
