Perhaps the Co-Op bosses are too busy counting their new pay rises and bonuses to worry about parking problems:-

The Co-operative Group is set to give pay rises and bonuses to its senior staff despite the near collapse of its banking division, it has emerged.

Bumping this so people with a CEL small claim see it, and so that any Co-op members see it as this is how the Co-op is spending your dividends you didn't get last Christmas! COMPLAIN.

    Bumpy again -
just wanted to 'have my say' on the fact that you are happy to engage the services of a private parking company by the name of 'cel@. I cannot believe that you actually pay them the £150 should any of your customers complain about getting one of their unenforceable invoices.
Do yourselves (and your customers) a favour and read-up on why they don't have the power to issue these 'tickets', let alone chase-up these non-existant debts that arise with non-payment.

Court after court have thrown case after case out due to the legal technicality that as the carpark is free, there cannot therefore be any loss to the operator.

I see the new boss of the Co-Op has threatened to resign because he reckons the group is "ungovernable in its present structure". I would think so if they are willing to waste member's money paying off fake fines.

Correction - he has now announced his resignation apparently a little unhappy

After the revelations over executive salaries, Mr Sutherland said on the Co-op's Facebook page there seemed to be "an individual, or individuals, determined to undermine me personally", but said he was "determined" to see through "the vital transformation of our business".
He added: "We appear to have disaffected people who are determined to make life difficult and embarrassing for the Co-operative at a time when what we need most are professionalism and loyalty to the business."

He expects loyalty when they engage companies like CEL to harass their customers? Sorry but they deserve everything they get, I have stopped using the coop local to me because of the disgusting behaviour of their agents. I use the spar instead when I need a few things.
