Hi all,

Finally getting rid of iPhone 4S and am looking at galaxy s3.

Would appreciate opinions of those who have the S3 - both good and bad before I make the swap.

Thanks in advance

I Bought my S3 in 2012. Had no problems at all and sold it last year and Bought a Note 3 which is the best phone.

    S5 is out in April

    Thanks for that.

Do you think S5 worth waiting for? What is you opinion of S4?

Typical woman, can't make her mind up :rotfl:

I moved from an iPhone 4 to the Galaxy S3 around 18 months ago as I wanted a larger screen and the iPhone 5 didn't have it.

I have enjoyed using the Galaxy S3 and enjoy that I can customise it whereas with the iPhone you couldn't do anything.

Only issue I have had is with the recent Android 4.3 update it's introduced a problem with "Your internet connection is unstable" when using WiFi. Never had an issue before and it's very annoying - time Samsung fixed it!

That's interesting, I've had that message quite a lot on my s3 recently but had assumed it was a problem with my broadband connection rather than the phone!

I've had my s3 for over a year now, no real problems with it but I do find it too big. It doesn't fit in my jeans pockets and I can struggle to use it one handed, I really want to change it for something smaller but can't quite bring myself to spend the money when the phone I have does what I need it to do.

Google it - you'll see it's a well known problem with the 4.3 update.

Will do, thanks. It never even occurred to me before as DD occasionally moans that the wifi on her laptop is playing up so I thought it was just a flaky connection, it has never actually affected me using it.

In most cases I wouldn't say it affects me either as WiFi seems to work anyway.

However just fed up seeing the message.

Both version 4.3? Did you do a factory reset after updating?

No as my Wife's phone was only a few weeks old and I bought mine in September last year. My Wife's came with the latest software so I thought I would update mine.
