I'm 4ft 10. I use it as an excuse to get a handsome man to help me out. Sometimes I don't even want the item, I just pretend I do so I can ask him to reach it ;-)

4ft 11 here and have had assistance from many a kindly taller person :T
Some supermarkets stack things like tins far too high on the top shelf which makes it dangerous for us little uns and don't get me on about those flaming shelves over the freezers where its a stretch even to get something from the front row

I have been known to wander round to the cleaning aisle, find a broom or mop then taken that back to the aisle to use to get something off the shelf that is too high or too far back. :D

I also have problems with deep trolleys when all the smaller ones are unavailable.
I throw things in and almost have to climb in to retrieve the items at the checkout!:o
  • I have back problems, so it's the low shelves that are difficult for me!
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!

Thank you for letting me know that I am not alone!
I have found that some, not all, Staff get quite annoyed when I ask for help as they cannot always reach the items and make me feel that I am an inconvenience.

If you meet staff with that attitude report them to the manager. I can honestly say that staff at my local Asda always seem willing to help.
    It's someone else's fault.

You're all tall compared to me, at 4ft 8 ins tall.

If my husband isn't with me, I ask someone who is near to reach down things, and they're usually very helpful.
