Liverpool John Lennon Airport - Parking Ticket Help

Hi,

Started a new thread as didnt reallise what hi-jacking was but know now.

The basics:
Got a parking notice through the post saying my car was caught on camera stopped on a road where you cant stop, that i had "broken a contract". The letter was from Vehicle Control Services and they are asking for £100.

I got the letter on 26th Feb 2014 and the incident date was 12th January 2014. I've read all the threads but just want to know what do i put in my letter to VCS as a rejection. It wasnt me driving but i am the registered keeper so do i just use the template in the newbies thread claiming that the fee isnt justified, or proper loss of cost. Or do i even mention that as actually they sent the letter after 14 days?

    Welcome!

This is an example of what can be achieved by a newbie, having read the sticky NEWBIES thread you can then win at POPLA:

Yes - you use the template in the sticky - and you can add to the point about the 'Notice to keeper' that it arrived too late for keeper liability under POFA2012 so as keeper you are not liable. Do not write your own version.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But before you appeal, please post the wording on here so we can ensure it's okay . And thanks for starting a new thread

Hi stroma, I'm literally just adding a line to the template on the newbie thread to say the 'Notice to keeper' arrived too late for keeper liability under POFA2012 so as keeper I am not liable. I'm adding it as the first in the list of reasons for rejecting the claim above the 3 that are in the template.

Do I request a popla code in that first rejection letter or do they send me it anyway?

No need to ask for a POPLA code, I deliberately do not in the template as there's no need.

I can see the logic of it, as popla themselves say that you shouldn't have to ask for the code, upon rejection of an appeal it must be given and it must be plainly explained what it is.

What is the best way for me to send the letter then, by recorded delivery through the post?
